One of my all time favorites when I first heard it on Spectral Mornings and then an extra special favorite when it appeared on Steve Hackett Live. The guitar work is unbelievable.

Actually Steve Hackett Live was called "Time Lapse". Either way, brilliant.

Such a joyous song ! When will a choreographer put it to dance of ballet ?! - could be such a winner. Just realised it's in 7, with the middle in 5 (eat your heart out 'take 5'). An underrated hackett gem !

I absolutely love this guy. He is so sweet & his wife really loves him because he is very talented, has a great memory & says off the wall stuff that makes not only me laugh but the audience as well. He smiles a lot too, people. Smile more, it'll make you feel much better inside & out.

Friggin love this song. It's also epic when played on 1.25x speed. Especially from 3:03 onwards

That drummer is so pedestrian. Imagine what Phil Collins in his prime could have done with this!
@Eleventhearlofmars2 жыл бұрын
John Shearer was a cracking drummer, only problem for Steve at the time was Johns kit tended to take up over half the stage lol.

I saw him and his brother John perform this piece FLAWLESSLY (along with the cream of Hackett's discography up to that point) a year after this video at the Roxy in Hollywood. (Nov. 1981) The band was Steve & John, along with the Amazing Magnus, Chas Cronk and Ian Mosley. Hundreds of concerts & musical performances from 1976 thru now, and that was the single most intense, awesomely powerful night of music I've ever witnessed.
