Thanks. What worked (with your encouragement) was to take an old Fishing Hook, bend it open a bit with basic pliers and that got a really thin, sharp point into area with bend in hook giving me the leverage (still gripped with pliers) to safely pull out enough to grip with fingers.

@@toekneefurareoh yo does a safety pin also work?
@toekneefurareohАй бұрын
@ it should, safety pins are a bit stronger, paper clips tend to bend too easily and don’t have a sharp enough point on the end to “pick” the broken charger piece out.

what if you do not have a threading needle are their any alternatives?
@toekneefurareoh3 ай бұрын
@@judeallan threading needle is ideal because of its strength, not to bend, and small tip to get the broken piece in your charger point to move. A safety pin will probably work well, and the right paper clip may get the job done too.

Switched to a magsafe charger a few weeks ago because I didn’t think there was an inexpensive solution, but it’s charging slow and keeps getting hot. Searched YT not expecting to find anything, and you came up with exactly my problem and quick to the point. Took me a little bit longer because I first used a flimsy needle, but when I switched to a bigger one it came out in like 2 minutes! Thank you very much!
