Great playing and song choice. I have a few in a box I will put that combo in my new Diamond Bolero.

I bought a Starcaster Strat By: Fender a few years ago intending to do an extreme mod /.upgrade to my specs. adding many extra parts . I extended the control cavity to accommodate the 3 P/P volume pots and the Tone pots to match wired like a '50's Les Paul with coil splits all pots are 500k audio taper and i used .047 orange drop tone caps for a little brighter tone abetted by orienting the active coils when split towards the bridge for brighter tones as well. the hand made extended custom brushed stainless steel pick guard is loaded with the 3 quad rail/coil humbuckers and the 6 pots as well as the Fender 5-way blade switch upgraded the import bridge with a full size brass sustain block and roller saddles and floated it nicely for even more control of the trem. the head stock got a titanium nut, roller string tree and locking tuners. the stars and planets space theme paint job on the body and head stock complete the total theme of this unique guitar. Wanna Play???

I have the DELUXE USA FALLOUT guitar now - I bought the FALLOUT TRIBUTE first. SO what's the difference? TRIBUTE is a GREAT guitar for the price hands down. This USA neck is better built and the electronics are better - the tuning keys are better quality - The bridge is better quality metal I can tell just by looking at it. The body is ALDER not POPLAR - The neck pickup is a ZEBRA HUMBUCKER & BLOWS DOORS on the tribute humbucker. I did a side by side recording of the 2 and the USA is just WAY better sounding - BUT the TRIBUTE is one heck of a deal if you can't afford the USA...

I don't have a good ear + I'm not familiar with P90s... So my opinion matters not. :) The Firefly seemed to have a fairly flat EQ curve, so they seemed more even across the spectrum, but they could disappear in the mix... (which might be a benefit when playing behind a singer.) The GFSs sounded like they had a notable EQ bump that made them have a vocal-like quality, but as you mentioned, it sort of prevents it from being shreddy. It also seemed rather compressed. (When playing rhythm, would it compete with the singer?) Although this doesn't directly help me decide on the GFS PBass overwound pickups - any comparison of their product line helps. Thanks for the side by side comparison.

There is a time and a place for either of these guitars. When I was 20 and playing bars in a local garage/punk band, I would have thought either was "so cool, man". Decent enough to play a sloppy show with; not nice enough that I would worry about bringing it to a downtown club or venue. At 45 years old, though...yeah. Nothing too amazin'. These are really for a certain age and place.

If anyone knows of a drop-in replacement for a Floyd Rose that works like this does that would be great. To my knowledge no such thing exists.

I was about to sell the Vox Head, but I decided to try changing the valves, removing the cheap Chinese ones and putting in new good quality valves like the Tung Sol and the Golf Lion and now the VOX looks different 😍😍😍

I just got mine in from Amazon I modified it it is sitting on a 63 modified Gibson Evo that is set up in stereo and I installed it myself I actually have to drill the holes into the body but I'm pretty good at stuff like that it came out perfect perfect and stays in tune and the Springs are interchangeable with Bigsby on a 66 Gibson eb-2 modified fretless I have another one on its way

Hi Rick, Thanks for the enlightening sound demo of Fender Tex-Mex Telecaster pickups....I have a 2015 Tele (MIM) with really hot p/u's (neck 7.4 Bridge 10.6 approx)....going to replace with Fender Tex-Mex ($99 CDN) based on your sound bites....

It fits great, it looks beautiful, works great for a couple of day but let's not forget that it bends due to string pull over time. I gone through 3 of those. If it was made of thicker metal in the base probably will work great in a long run

fenders have the traditional sound we all gravitate to ...I like the crispness of the GFS pickups...both are good...pricewise well we know GFS has that edge...
