I just use an excavator. Just dig a big hole , then i can just toss the rod in it. Then afterwards, i drill to try and find it, to hook up my 6 awg bare copper conductor.

Really don't get why everyone is going on EMT. The guy has his preference but says both pvc and emt are suitable. Also, why bring up local code if you're not in the same area as him? That seems silly
@Supa_ugly9 сағат бұрын
when you know, you know; emt from beginning to end, then maybe you can justify the $2k

Troubleshooting issues means someone isn't educated or motivated to study on their own time to learn ... Typical apprentice want somebody to teach him but not willing to f****** sit down and give up the video games and teach themselves. Rely on Dad for the rest of your life buddy

Pvc will look like dog dodo in a year. It discolors and will sag in the heat. Take pride in your work and think down the road what your installation will look like and provide for your customer. Should of went emt, would not of cost that much more. If you take the easy way out every time how I’ll you ever learn?

as electrical contractor I believe ev charger is actually part of mini sidejob. its just a simple dedicated circuit of phases. I never understood whoever called him or herself ev charger techinician. its not a thing.

So you can’t get 40 amps through a 6 gauge copper? Interesting when it’s rated for much higher than that.
@Brovillion559Күн бұрын
You use pvc because you’re cheap. EMT or better should be used out doors. That pvc will look like crap in a year and children will probably break it on accident.

Hard disagree man. I dont think you can compare the outcomes of just working a union job compared to owning your own non-union company. Esspecially because you can still start your own company and do the same type of work through the union, plus you have all the benefits still if you want to grow your company bigger.
@johnmiron3439Күн бұрын
For us it was never used colored tape when you can use black tape. Why? - because it cost more. What if I don't have black tape? Well, you can use colored tape in those situations, but try not to. lol.

All work will be performed in a workmanship like manner. Not your fault you don’t know any better. I blame your in-field teachers. I know dang well you wouldn’t install a switch box, switches and switch plate that’s not level. None of this is a personal dig at you. Us Sparkys must always strive to keep learning and do better. Good luck out there.
