I just use an excavator. Just dig a big hole , then i can just toss the rod in it. Then afterwards, i drill to try and find it, to hook up my 6 awg bare copper conductor.

Pvc will look like dog dodo in a year. It discolors and will sag in the heat. Take pride in your work and think down the road what your installation will look like and provide for your customer. as electrical contractor I believe ev charger is actually part of mini sidejob. its just a simple dedicated circuit of phases. I never understood whoever called him or herself ev charger techinician. its not a thing.

You use pvc because you’re cheap. EMT or better should be used out doors. That pvc will look like crap in a year and children will probably break it on accident.

Esspecially because you can still start your own company and do the same type of work through the union, plus you have all the benefits still if you want to grow your company bigger.
