I know this video is getting old, but those were not ladybirds, they were the similar looking but more aggressive and invasive Asian Lady Beetle.

With so many rail routes completely obliterated all across Norfolk, I am so grateful for the huge efforts made by the existing heritage railways. We must treasure what we have.

I remember being in Cromer during this with my grandparents. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. I'm glad this video is here because I didn't know if it was just exaggerated in my memories. I remember the ladybirds piling up at the side of thr road.

As a girl in the 1950s my mum went to Alton Towers by train from Castle Gresley South Derbyshire. Only in Britain would so much infrastructure be thrown away by self serving short sighted politicians. Ernest Marples was as bent as a nine Bob note .

Good evening cjh. Any chance of using a few seconds of footage? I need to illustrate Stephenson's Link Motion outside the frames, and 44767 is the obvious choice. With credit of course.

Well done! The colours are just like in the film. Did you use filters? I thought the 1401 was destroyed because of Dr. Beeching. Is this a replica?

I worked on the railways throughout the 1970's. The Stoke to Leekbrook line was still operational as a freight line. There were signal boxes at Endon and Milton junction.
