23:44 Refers to "Boss" Schmidt as "Butch" haha. He wasn't the only one that confused the two's name. Interestingly, Boss and Ty earned each other's respect and would become friends. Ty even hoped to get Boss a coaching job with the Tigers in the late 1920s while Ty was managing the Tigers. They didn't have room for Boss at the time. Ty mourned Boss's death in 1932. Amazing to hear Snodgrass talk about them from personal experience!

Do you think someone will make a 1915 season, which included eight Federal League teams, along with the 16 teams from the NL & AL?
@bleacherbumsgaming73232 ай бұрын
That would be really cool, but I don't think I have seen it even talked about outside of APBA which does have the set out.
@webbjohnson29952 ай бұрын
Ahhhh. Ok. Thanks for the reply. I don't own a single season of APBA. I DO, however, own at least one of about 15 different MLB games, including three of Season Ticket. ('35, '41 & 2006) I also have about 15 National Pastime Next Gen+ seasons, whose cards look pretty similar to APBA.

@56:19 No. Williams never mentioned this in his grand jury testimony, and Eliot Asinof admitted that he made that part up so nobody would plagarize his work. Another interesting point is that Weaver may have gotten money for his part in the scandal after all. Both Billy Maharg and Sleepy Bill Burns were deposed for Joe Jackson's civil lawsuit for back pay in 1923, and said that Weaver was with the rest of the players (except Shoeless Joe) when money was delivered to the fixers.

Courts agreeing with the people? Unheard of! LOL! Ok it happens sometimes I will admit. As for what you did here in the terms of the project eh yes at times it is nice to get away from as played season replays. They are so stiff. Only so much changes really. That is why at times I have done something fantasy-like and play one off games with a team from one year playing a team from another. Anyway eh hope you have enjoyed what you started here in OOTP. I hope to give that game a chance again with a newer version on the cheap as my past experiences weren't so good. Two replays of 1961 never felt realistic. For some reason the bullpen and lower part of the pitching staff never performed as it should. I am interested to see if anything has changed with the game when it comes to realism in replays.

Still ranking Field Day Baseball higher then Fall Classic Baseball? I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding.. Do you know the difference between the FAC sets on their website for Classic, (1-4 sets) is it just for more variety or is it for new seasons?

@@bleacherbumsgaming7323 Thanks for the quick reply! If you have time, could you explain what you like more about Field Day?
@bleacherbumsgaming73238 ай бұрын
@@aanders0n Absolutely, the main thing is I like the pitcher interaction a bit more, it is subtle, but over the course of the game can make a difference, and it is very smooth. Certain results on the Batters card refer you to the pitchers rating in a given area (Hit's, K's Walks, etc) that can change the result of the at bat. Just a bit more seamless than FCB

I actually have a Baseball game designed, but the big impediment on that right now is getting a better data extraction method. There are two versions, one with ‘Plate Control’ and one without, which is a bit better flow, that still factors in pitching. So it’s there, but something I would revisit much further down the road. In fact it will likely be the first big undertaking when I retire in a couple of years
