The thing I dislike about this whole bus test is the technical words they want us to use when no one uses them in their everyday life. I get it though and our short video gets right to the point. I don't see why there are so many 10 minute or more videos out there lol.

You were suppose to release the parking break when doing applied pressure test. So you apply your foot to the service break, release the parking break let the needles stabilize and then your minute begins

Not shown here, but you must also make sure the build-up from 85-100psi takes no more than 45 seconds.

I guess it’s different for everyone because my study book doesn’t mention that.

GREAT video 😊

This is wrong. If you were on a hill you’d start rolling bc you pushed in the parking brake and didn’t have your foot on the service brake.

You must chock wheels before brake test begins
@seeohhh3 ай бұрын
@@nojunkmonk to test standards you need your foot on the brake when you release the parking brake until gauges settle. Also During a test for the CDL you dont have chocks bc the point of this test is to test for air leaks but to also see if the parking brake will hold when you put it in drive.
@DeiHarper93615 күн бұрын
@@nojunkmonkyou will lose points depending on who your tester is. Always have your foot on the brake if the wheels aren’t chocked

Thank you. I'll use this video for study and hopefully pass mine in Oregon.

Great video but in NYC we have the wig wag drop at 80psi before the red light and buzzer at 60psi

Wig wag right in NYc that’s where I am. I was wondering what happen to wigwag?

I just took my air brake test and failed by 2 points I didn’t study but my trainer also didn’t make things clear for me so I’m here and will try again tomorrow hopefully 🤞🏾

It’s all of the technical words that get me but you’ll get it if you haven’t. Don’t give up! I take mine in a week and I’m studying like crazy but every time I practice I freeze up because I want to make sure I say it how they want me to.

Michigan change their terminology to before 55 psi on the alarm check and around 40 on the pop out.
