HR is your company’s version of the police. They can lie, cheat, and steal from you with impunity. Everything you say and have ever said will be used against you. They will always and forever side with your manager unless there is absolutely no other choice.

Let's say i receive 81 pictures/texts from my boss within an hour on multiple occasions. Or 12 years with a company and thr new manager decides to write me and only me up for responsibilities that my peers are responsible for as well and they didn't get disciplinary actions. Or a blatant lie of a task I had done and wrote me up for it still. Another thing would be, a peer jumped in to help send an email while I was taking time off for a medical injury and I was written up for that as well. I have the medical paperwork to prove my hospital visits as well

I can attest to this, they make it very obvious. Got injured at a job worked through it for the most part. They sent me to their dr, driven their by the safety manager who would force his way to the exam room and or meet with the dr afterwards. On the days i felt good i would go crazy with production. My production was higher than ever. I then got written up constantly for nonsense. Eventually got fired for poor production. I literally couldnt move in my area due to how far ahead i was. They were clearly trying to get me to quit, and made my life miserable. Was for the best though got a much better job and im making 2x as much and I am not breaking my body. Still have constant shoulder pain though.

Please make a video on Misclassification! My employee classified me as an Exempt, paying a salary. Although they make some salary exempt employees (not all) to clock in and out like an hourly employee. They hold you to the hourly “daily hours ie 8.5). But if we go overtime or 43 hours (40 plus 30 min lunches) we do not get overtime. Is this lawful? Please do a video on this.

I went to HR once about a dude who was using intimidation, retaliation and racist verbage, not to mention, saying he wanted to exploit me for his out of work activities, then used his kids as leverage as if that was my responsibility. A week later, lawyers showed up and let me know they were the lawyers of my employer and I was laid off after relocating hundreds of miles across the country for this position. Resulting in me being homeless.

Number 6 I do not agree with… it’s better to abandon ship then to wait to get fired. Sometimes they are doing you a favor by getting fired.. you have a better chance of getting unemployment. It will cost the company to pay your unemployment so they will make you want to quit so they don’t have to go through all the paperwork. However, my two cents on this matter is to comply with everything and show them you will improve . Then when it is real busy and everyone is busy that’s when you decide to leave. Your boss or manager will have to step in because you left in the middle of the shift. I have seen this happen and recently as last month experienced it where my supervisor was overwhelmed because she had let go two employees and another one quit so we were down three employees on a busy morning I had to do double duty and she was all,nervous because she had never done what I was doing . Remember in college where at the end of the term you were given teacher evaluation forms to fill out I called them Students Revenge. .. well,I thought no one really read them and they were just tossed side. I was wrong I witnessed them being read and was even shown by the department dean they were taken seriously especially new up and coming teachers . It is the equivalent of a teachers report card.

DUDE IS 100% CORRECT. JUST LIKE LOCAL COPS ON THEIR CARS "TO PROTECT AND SERVE....DOT DOT DOT" NEVER SAYS TO PROTECT AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY...THEY PROTECT AND SERVE THE MUNICIPALITY. HR SHOULD BE RENAMED CYA DEPARTMENT.

For months now I have been using Filter Bounce in partnership with my cold email software, and it is a champion at maintaining bounce rates under 1%. I’ve been a manager for twenty years. Number one reason for employees at lower grade levels is they just stink at their job and we want them to be better. Laying ground work to fire is another valid reason. This happens as a requirement of hr. Write ups allow us to lock an employee down. They become ineligible to transfer to other departments. Even if you survive the write up, you will get the lowest raises possible during review time A third reason and why I dislike my company. Hr forces me to do this to a percentage of my employee. This is some lame bullshit started by the ceo of Chrysler back in the 80s. He fired ten percent regardless of their actual performance. Moron mba graduates adhere to this thinking it is a good way to do business. I firmly believe that employees who genuinely want to work hard will thrive somewhere else and that could be elsewhere within the company. I don’t like locking them down and removing that option from them. If you do receive one, your career is not going well. You really should bounce but make sure you do it when it is right for you.

Does this also go hand in hand with hostile environment where the employers intentionally causes stress so you stress leave? I was told when breakdown stress dial 911 and go to ER so it looks medical. Key thing is - make sure your deliverables are met and no meetings missed.

For those saying that "at will" means they can fire or you can leave for any reason at all are idiots. That's not what it means.
