As an enjoyer of goth music, I absolutely LOVE this version. What's fun about CHVRCHES is you really can't compare any of their covers to the originals because they're so different. I always love hearing their takes on songs

This version of the song perfectly captures what the song would sound like when done for vampire high schoolers and what’s more it introduces a great song to a younger generation. Nobody is on here trying to be Bauhaus reimagined. Stop being gatekeepers of older music. Good job Chvrches!

I went to listen to the original version by Bauhaus and it's awful 😐 This version by Chvrches is vastly improved in every way. I love their energy!

The original is awesome, the Nouvelle Vague version is great but the angle on this cover is just awesome. Not a Chvrches fan but damn, they put on a spin that no one saw coming on this already exceptional tune

I appreciate that they tried to put their unique spin on a classic. Unfortunately, while their are some nice bits in this cover, it ultimately misses the mark. It’s clear as the song progresses, this cover, metaphorically speaking, becomes more about the singer than the song. They just don’t get it.
