My murder grew tired of peanuts. They want hard egg yolks, pecans, and meat fat. They are spoiled! LOL

What a wholesome sight between two majestic birds! 🥰 Although, the vulture is a Turkey Vulture. You can tell because the Vulture has a bald red head like a Turkey. Black Vultures have a grayish head. Anyway, thanks for sharing! 🤗❤🐦

@@BirdsandGhibliFan I recently read about a phenomenon where black vultures are seen preening crested caracaras but never the other way around, so I must've had that in my head when titling the video 😂

Stashed roasted peanuts are quickly colonized by Aspergillus molds which are deadly to birds!

I forgot to mention that I love the cute waddle-step that Black Vultures do, particularly at 0:31 in this video. So adorable! 🥰 Also, the people singing, “Don’t Stop Believing” offscreen was pretty funny.

It was great watching him do that waddle-walk around the park as he checked near each of the trashcans for free food. He had a little mind map of the place and would scurry off for a few seconds when someone would get too close for comfort 😂

Nice capture! I recorded a couple of minutes of a mockingbird song a few days ago, in a somewhat noisy urban environment. I'm trying to break down all the other birds being imitated, but it's tough.

I've been working on the befriending now for about a month. A couple of them are getting closer and seem not to fear me. I leave just a small amount of peanuts 3 or 4 times a day. Today one of them left a small piece of dough which looked like a piece of soft pretzel. maybe it was a gift?

I'm surprised but my crows don't take many of the peanuts. I put out shelled unsalted peanuts for my jbirds.My Crows don't care about them. Its shocking 😐 They do love the stale buns I throw out. Love these big boys its so rewarding to earn their trust. They know me and never fly away 😊

My crows don’t like peanuts either. They love cashews though. And fried egg yolks.

How sad.........Peanuts Choke them! And you have this video here on KZbin encouraging it! This is really upsetting!
@sergioortiz8219 Жыл бұрын
Maybe 0.1% will choke on a peanut, the remaining 99.9% will have a nutritious treat. You can't make everything 100% safe.

Curious!!!!........would you say the same if a family member choked on something at the supermarket and died? And lets that that only 1 of a thousand people would choke on it? Still think that's ok? @@sergioortiz8219

When the supply runs out, I've seen them try to snatch peanuts out of the beaks of other birds. I've seen squabbles ands fights over peanuts during a feeding frenzy. Everything is up for grabs...winner take the most.

Sometimes the peanut shells can be quite hard. So I crack them with my hands a little to make it easier for the crow to open it. Also, I read somewhere that you should only give crows unsalted peanuts, for what that's worth.
@sergioortiz8219 Жыл бұрын
the bad thing about cracking open the shell is that if they cache the peanut, then moisture can get in, or ants, so by the time they come back for it, it may be spoiled or gone.

Crows are actually really sweet birds, especially if you feed them and they bond with you. This relationship can last a lifetime.
