I can literally hear this song playing in the Byarlant’s pilot’s commslink while he’s fighting. Dude is an Ex-Titan pilot, so him getting something new and actually decent shows that the Titans could’ve actually done decently if they hadn’t been such idiots.

I absolutely loved how there are so moments of silence when Mecha G was activating, since something that big and powerful would have all sorts of energy and activating parts in it that would require all sorts of cooling and all these independent parts grinding and screeching together!! Everything together sells that this thing is *massive*.

shoutout to Yonem Kirks who just rolled up behind in a Fat Uncle Custom and quickscoped the Byarlant in the back right at the end there. Basically the only real hit anyone landed on it in the entire scene.

if you haven't noticed the beam weaponry the Byarlant was using was low-yield(because it's a prototype for testing and to gather data) that's why it has to fire numerous more shots just to penetrate one And the only one that is most effective is it's melee weapon because the energy concentrate enough It's under-armed at that time. the only reason it manages to go toe-to-toe is because of the skills and experience of the pilot currently using it Heck that bad boy wasn't even new it's just improved over decade

Shoutout to Byarlant Custom for turning one of the most eyerolling scenes in Unicorn (OYW era Zeon suits just casually clowning on GMs that should reasonably outclass them AGAIN) into one of the most satisfying.

The machine matters less than the pilot inside. Expereinced OYW Zeon vets in machines they know vs Feddie rookies at a training base. ...until the Byarlant Custom shows up, piloted by an ex-Titans pilot turned Feddie mechanic who was literally made to do JUST THIS...

As the other person said these were veteran pilots against newbies along with having the first attack initiative. There's also a real life incident of a prop fighter gunning down a mig 15 so it's not unrealistic to say that experienced soldiers can fight effectively even if they were given poor equipment.

Fed produced. After the Titans collapsed most of their gear went to both surviving sides of the war. Piloted by a former Titans pilot to boot.
