@dollman0 I have a 2008 Ford Focus SE (2.0L 4cyl & 4spd auto ) that i bought brand new in 2008 . The Car is Bone Stock. Back in 2015 at 36,000miles / 58,000 km i did a Drain & Fill of the Transmission Fluid and Dropped the Pan to change the transmission Filter.....both Filter & Fluid were OEM-Ford-Dealer-Parts. This was the only time the transmission has been serviced and seems to shift good. The car as of now in July 2021 has 50,000 US-Miles / 80,000 km on it. The car is pretty much mint & my daily driver and i'd like to keep it , and i've thought about just doing Transmission Drain & Fill + Trans Filter every 30,000miles/50,000km with the dealer Motorcraft Mercon LV Fluid. But i've been reading alot about the Amsoil Fuel Efficient Signature Series (blue cap) transmission fluid and everyone has good things to say about it. I'm just worried i might mess up something thats working good. But on the other hand , heat is the enemy of transmissions and the OEM Mercon LV is not synthetic, so thats why ive been thinking about the Amsoil Fluid. But im just worried that even though Amsoil says their blue cap fluid will meet Mercon LV , im just worried maybe i shouldnt switch and just use the dealer fluid. Any thoughts on this? Ever heard of any issues switching to Amsoil Tranny Fluid?

You should use pure lard not armour lard because it have BHA,Gallate ,Citric Acid, and hydrogenated lard to many ingredients with a lot of chemicals you better off playing with pure Lard only 1 ingredients lard. But your soap look pretty

Your installing this filter in the trans cooler line. So you do not want to restrict too much the flow as it is for cooling the oil. A 40 micron Magnefine is ok, that is why they chose a higher micron number than an engine oil filter. The pop off bypass valve, if it is 8 psi, that is 8 psi of flow taken out of the cooling flow. Might be a good idea to monitor the transmission oil temp when using an engine oil filter. Of course the larger filters will flow better till they clog up.

Cross reference www.oilfilter-crossreference.com/convert/GROUP-7/V1A Derale #13091 comes with a filter, hose and temp gauge. Best filter micron wise from the cross reference looks to be the CARQUEST 85515 at 20 microns. This is longer then the stock filter (group 7 V4670) the Derale came with if you have the space.

These filters are better than nothing.Not much better. The best ones are the depth filters.I understand about the room. On my wife's car I put the Motor Guard for the transmission on top of.the.engine. I managed.to find a good place for the Motor Guard oil filter The transmission is pretty much a lifetime filter change. I had to make a Frantz style adapter with two tees and a 1/8 inch orifice. Pontiac Torrant. I found some.GM approved fluid from Castrol at advanced auto parts The old showed signs of over heating. Dark and burnt smelling.

I got one question. Over the things I read. The transmission dose not have much pressure. There for you put a filter that is to low on microns. Your transmission will starve for fluid. Causing transmission a short life due to too much restrictions. Something to think about.

For 2.88 to top off your system if you need something fast go for it. But for a whole fill up stick with the well known brands and skip the generic stuff.

I never go cheap when it comes to oil. I buy fram and a.c. Delco filters. Oil I buy penzoil. The only supertech product I buy is their 1 dollar fuel injector cleaner and gas treatment.
