So you are saying we should bankrupt the education of a whole nation because you dont like it? Because it costs money to educate people? We dont need more stupid people in the US. We need less religion and more science, because we live in an objective reality. This guy probably has a high school, aka teenagers education. He certainly has the mindset of a teenager to match it...

The department of Education is only 3.6% of the total budget and 6%-ish of discretionary budget items. It's not as "bloated" as you think it is. Most people just don't like what is being taught because old be are going to complain about "the youths". Literally 1920's newspapers complain about radio same way about you guys complain about the internet destroying kids today.

Damn. Stop fear mongering. If you want to talk about Berkshire's large cash holdings, at least quote the buffet. He said the reason why they're liquidating is the corporate tax rate is at a record low, and they think it should be higher, but while it is this low they're taking advantage and selling their holdings so that they can take advantage of the record low rates. Once the tax rate increases and the market adjusts they're buying back in

No it will not. The plan is for EVERYTHING on EVERY LEVEL to crash. A complete reset is being FORCED upon this world. Will it be a good thing or bad? Time will tell. But I'm not feeling to warm and fuzzy about it all.

That's not what happened nor the situation. 1st, after the pandemic, we realized we were too dependent on Taiwan and China for semiconductors, so we are homeshoring the companies, so we make them in the US. Also, Taiwan is at risk of invasion from China, and if that happens, they would either have all of advanced tech or the tawanese were going to blow up their factor, and globe going into a bronze age event.

Yeah and Intel in turn started building a new FAB in Ohio, now I'm not saying Intel wasn't mishandling things, but they did reinvest that money into stuff that was going to be beneficial for the country. It still will be once that facility comes online but yeah, it wasn't a con, or a fraud, they are just mismanaged currently.

Friedman just needs to be reframed and a return to the immediate post-war commercial philosophies that practised capitalism in a moral way.

You stop it when your "democracy" doesn't consist in begging for money donations in order to fund your campaign. It's not charity, and it's not a loan either, it's an investment. When their candidate gets into power, you can bet they want more than their money back. It's so obvious, I even wonder how stupid the average elector can be to just ignore this very simple fact.

Did these people even read the bill? Do they understand how it works? The money was going to BUILD chips factories. To encourage these semi conductor companies to build their factories in the US and not elsewhere. This bill alone created more manufacturing jobs than 4 years of Trump (that lost manufacturing jobs even before COVID). Plus this bill will make sure the US is still strong and competitive years to come by owning the factories and banning China on getting them. It’s surprising to me how many people don’t understand how bills or money works. “They fire people” without mentioning that they building factories.

Nvidia didn't get any money from the CHIPS act, also the money from the CHIPS act came with tons of strings attached and hoops to jump through that supported woke causes like telling the companies who they had to hire, and what contractors they needed to hire for contractors and several DEI carve-outs.

Regulation and taxation is causing Chevron to move to Texas. That is, if you mean their desire to take more money from the consumer and pollute the environment is the reason they are moving to Texas.
