I think you guys are a little understating how crazy impactful these tome bans for Kano are. Notably, it makes stacking a very inconsistent game plan now. The reason for this is because while tomes were around, if you saw Blazing Aether before Aether Wildfire in first cycle, you could pitch a Blazing, then a tome and two blues, and get the Wildfire later, and it would be fine. That's no longer the case. If you see Blazing Aether before Wildfire in your first cycle, you have to pitch the Blazing Aethers, find and pitch your Wildfires, and then wait until you see your Blazings in second cycle and pitch them AGAIN to make sure you see everything in the correct order (this also includes the new cards that fill the old roles of the tomes: Overflow the Aetherwell and Open the Floodgates). If Kano doesn't see his Wildfires first in first cycle, he may have to go to third cycle in order to assemble a pitch stack kill, which is really asking a lot for a hero with only 30 life. Playing a regular tempo Kano just isn't very viable into decks that can afford to AB3 often, especially since Oasis is still running around as well. Maybe Kano will start playing Whispers of the Oracle again, I don't know, but these bans eliminate the current stacking playstyle that, allegedly, is what LSS designed the hero to do.

I think all of the Rosetta heroes will different young and old abilities. LSS was probably tired of trying to balance the CC abilities with sealed/draft (more-so than I think for blitz)

In terms of sealed power level, I think this format is one of the lowest in raw power level, making it a good testing bed for a higher consistency limited. The damage output per turn isn't very high, and all three heroes have a big subtheme of 1 power attacks. While the increased consistency of 8 pack sealed works for this set, I imagine if they tested out these changes in HVY (with less sideboard options and hero-specific counters and more raw power) it would be much less well recieved since games would go much faster and be way more swingy. Good option, but 8 pack sealed seems like something that would drastically affect how maps are laid out and would really need to be baked into their set design decisions if they want to go forward with 8 pack as the default.

Prismatic Leyline actually seems pretty good in Arakni Solitary Confinement. It makes all of the different stealth card colors to 4 breakpoint.

Illusionist is such a game warping class like Wizard. Most classes have to dedicate 3-5 popper slots and then 3 slots for AB which leaves little room for much else. Also Dromai’s ability is OP. Play a red to grant every dragon go again is gross. JW said he wanted to scale back weapons and heroes that cheat on action points. Dromai can easily do 5+

Thank you Fuzzy, Joel, and Clark for picking my card design Cloak of Concealment! I had a Ton of fun coming up with ideas for this contest. I feel like a few weeks after submitting Nuu was spoiled for Part the Mistveil and I can’t wait to see all the new cards. I could only imagine how fun it was to go through all of the submissions and I have to say the Kassai spec converting money would be sick in her deck. I have always dreamed of working as a card designer so this is very validating for me. This community is amazing!

The slow introduction of vital kit pieces over multiple sets feels like Boltyn syndrome. That man has gotten a Legendary like 4 sets in a row + a whole supplemental set to help him actually feel like a fully realised hero. It almost feels like they're trying to reward early adopters, but they're doing it wrong.
