River is cool but it never felt real with her, not like it did with Rose. I never really believed that the doctor and river were actually in love. This is excellent. I never believed that the Doctor loved River. She was too abrasive, too toxic and she slapped him 3 times! You don't do that to the person you love. It is clear that Rose is his soulmate no matter the face. I'm glad that this video exists. It needs to, as it is the Doctor's truth.

I hated River. Her storyline was stupid and she was controlling. Moffat tried too hard to force this relationship on us. Rose is CLEARLY his soulmate. If not, hints of her would not have appeared during Eleven and even Twelve’s time.

I think and know even when the Doctor regenerates and is a "new man" 11 still thinks of her all the time. It never directly says it, but at some points when hes alone or seeing something that he did with her, you can see it on his face, that he remembers and is in pain that he can never see her again. I know Rose has the Doctor-Danna but the doctor has no one but his other companions. We all know the doctor loves Rose even when there not together, same with Rose. They will never forget each other and will always remeber them. The doctor would scale the entire universe for Rose. And Roae would for the Doctor. But the thing is, they already have done. Many times. "I would save the entire universe but lose you"

I'm a River/11 shipper, though I can appreciate Rose with 9 or 10. This was a really interesting take on their relationships - nicely done! Now can someone tell me why all the comments seem to be focusing on 10/Rose, and almost no one mentions 9/Rose, even though he gave up his life to save her (when he regenerated into the 10th Doctor)?

i ADORE river song. great character. fantastic backstory, amazingly developed, strong, brilliant, brave, there is no doubt that she is one of the best characters. but... rose tyler and the doctor had and were something that can never be replaced or changed for me.

It fits with the story so well

I never liked River, she was irritating as a character and the actress was just too ott and didn't fit at all. Her and Amelia are my most disliked characters in the entire show, across all seasons since 2005...but what I disliked the most about her 'relationship' with the doctor was that it felt like I was watching some badly plagiarised fanfiction for the Time Traveller's wife. It was honestly the laziest storytelling ever.

meh, I disagree. The Doctor is allowed to love more than one person, and he's also allowed to love River while still loving Rose. River and Rose are different, so of course their relationships with him would also be different. Plus ten and eleven are two seperate doctors.

Nothing is wrong with river, but she will never be Rose. I think that rose and the doctor should be the ones married, not the doctor and River.

I LOVE this video. It is simply perfection.

I love Rose, and i loved his relationship with the Doctor, but the Doctor and River love is so much deeper, and so much stronger, and so much powerfull. They are married and the Doctor love she in a way he never has loved anyone before. He let rose go, and i think we should do the same.
