That clutch is an awful idea. Just not something I want on an electric bike. Having to step down on features and power to lose the clutch kinda sucks.

I search from google, 10 vertical 22 horizontal. The voltage of stark is 360v means 100 series of 3.6v batteries. In parallel they use 4.4 parellel, So 4.2 x 4.4 approx 18.48. In total 360s x 18.48 = 6,652.8 of power input. Hi voltage, they create 14,200 of rpm according to google. In this moment i am searching thw gear reduction.😂😂😂😂😂

Such a nice detailed build quality review. Now how about a ride review. These things are availalbe now in the US and I might want one. Would love to see it against an Artic Leopard which has more power but is likely not built as well. I also wonder about the suspension difference between the x and xr and if the xr is worth $2k more.

Sounds like you need to turn up the idle a little bit then it won’t stall so easy.

Hi! Good video. I have question for 2023 Escape R . Some reason my battery discharge about 14 percent Every day ( 24 hours ) is it normal? This is just parked in garage not riding… 3 days parking battery go down less than 50 percent.

Yes, but everyone knows that Segway and other companies have exaggerated how far you can travel at a given speed. These vehicles often fail after just 5 to 10 miles. They will slow you down to 5 to 10 mph after a short period before the battery is completely drained. Additionally, the electromagnetic field near your groin area poses a risk of testicular cancer. No thanks.

How is it that this bike has been available in dealerships for months (at least in my area of the US) and there is almost ZERO videos and reviews of it beyond Ka Uila? I can find 10,000 Ultra Bee real-world-review videos, but nearly nothing on the Escape MX. I own an EM ePure Race (and love it) and want an electric enduro bike, but since nobody is talking about this bike I have to assume it’s either not worth considering or it’s not a realistic alternative to the Ultrabee or Arctic Leopard bikes. So strange…

Do you have to actuate the clutch for gear shifting in the xr or can you just use the throttle like with the other ebikes? i.e. Can I start moving from stand still by operating the throttle onl;y? How easy is the clutch pull? Is it as light as the Clake?

Hi, could you help..I'm sure you'll have had it all to bits by now and discovered most issues doing what you do and the amount of time you've spent on the bikes. Have you noticed play behind the front sprocket on these bikes from new or used( mines used but mint 2020). My sprocket output shaft rocks a little bit not enough to loose any oil from the seal but does wobble a bit...there must be a bearing on thre shaft or a spigot behind the clutch basket? Just really wondering if they come with this play from new? Mine has a little knock under load so im changing the sprockets for now. See what it does. Any advice is greatly appreciated 👍🤞

Sorry for the spam, but another question. Couldn't they have made the battery bigger by simulating some sort of front tank and air intake fender that spreads out? And make the battery bigger with that shape of a gas enduro. You know what I mean? Now the battery is really slim and just sits inside the frame

Can you leave the front number plate and just use the blinkers without the headlight unit? I would like to use the OEM blinkers but with the front number plate and add an LED bar as a headlight. And is it possible to mount the rear light and blinkers on the fender, instead of the ugly swing arm mount number plate holder?

The rear rim on the XR is thinner than the stock Escape R one. Does this mean thinner rear tires as well? The rear tire in this video certainly looks thinner than the one I have on my 23 Escape R.

I own an Escape R 2022 (with all the bells and whistles, PRBR, flywheel etc) and I regularly watch your channel with great interest. Now, in spite of all the fuss about the new X/XR I'm under the impression that EM's perceived hesitation with revealing these enduro setups was well founded. The base concept lends itself rather well to Trials riding but in my opinion not as much to enduro, and I'm afraid that the enthusiastic initial acceptance of these new incarnations will soon fade. I myself was looking forward to buying the XR but I'm now not so sure any more. Sorry but I had to say that.

I enjoy and follow your page, but I have to add in my 2 cents here.... I am an off road enduro rider racer explorer for several decades and as mechanic, welder and custom fabricator who bought a 2022 EM Escape R I have to chime in with some real world perspectives... Gees- who is welding these?!....Those clumps called welds are embarrassing and no amount of paint will hide them. The added gussets are a bandaid for a proper engineered MOTO frame imo. Maybe next year they will have a redesign. Another issue I quickly realized is the cheap needle bearings used for the swingarm and shock linkage. Would have been nice to see NSK bearings instead of these cheap dirt sucking needle bearings that came dry as a bone from factory. Anyone with one of these - please immediately breakdown the swingarm, shock linkage, axles and steering stem and grease the heck out of them. Also make sure you loosen the motor mounts before you try and slide out the thin aluminum swing arm pivot bolt. Did someone say bolts? Also whats with the china cheap bolt hardware with nylon locking nuts? Or even one better, why the heck are they using phosphate metal tabs in place of nuts? This is what you expect to find on a kids toy. The quality of the hardware, the components and manufacturing on these 'bikes' looks great in pictures, but one you break one of these down you can see how cheap they engineered them. Made in France? Search for the replacement parts and you will see just what they are made of.

John thanks for the video. I had a chance to ride both bikes, The XR on a mini track and escape R. On all kinds of terrain, I think they both awesome bikes and for the people who ride trials the escape R can do sections and single tracks as well. Basically it’s all come to your riding style and location. When he comes to choose a bike. But I definitely would like to try the XR more and do some hard Enduro.

Could you throw the XR forks, clamps, shock, and controller at an Escape R? A few grand in parts might be cheaper than sell Escape+buy XR in the current market. Weaker frame, but a good welder can help with that. Smaller battery , but either replaceable (or already good enough depending on local trail needs).
