Idea of adding small seams in middle of piano keys is great.

Thank You Nancy, you explain things very easy. Question? Do you have any video's on different quilting rulers and how to use them? Especially the diamond?

My first quilt in 1984 was a Lone Star. Techniques have changed so much in the quilting world. Your tutorials have made it so easy to update with todays techniques and this 2nd Lone Star is a Wedding quilt for my niece. Can't wait to do this AGAIN! Great instructions.

Thank you for your clear, easy to follow video. I was wanting to do stitch as you go because I’m just using my regular domestic machine or my embroidery machine and it was too much weight doing the whole Quilt. I am not doing a log cabin. I have regular Quilt blocks that are 16”. I sewed three of them together to make one row and then quilted them. I have four rows, and I am putting them together following your quilt as you go method. I have the first two put together and it is working out so well. Thank you very much for putting this video on here.

The following post is in regard to the book "Dazzling New York Beauty Sampler" by Cinzia White, and NOT a negative comment about this video. I bought the book and decided to read it carefully from the beginning. Already on page 8 (the FIRST page of instructions) it became incomprehensible. Step 3 says "Fold the template into quarters and mark matching points. For the larger templates, fold into eighths and mark matching points." As the templates are various shapes, how do you fold them into quarters and eighths? And what on earth are the "matching points??... matched to WHAT? The author should really have given a step by step walk-through example on at least ONE of the many, many pieces. I knew this was not going to be easy, but I really expected better instructions. FYI, I'm not exactly a beginner quilter... I've done some paper piecing and some curved seems, etc. I could probably figure most of it out on my own through trial and error and a lot of calculations, but IMO that should have been the author's job. I wish I had begun reading this book earlier so I could have returned it to Amazon.

Hi Nancy thank you for a very informative video. I am going to make this…but I missed how many blocks you can make From one Jelly roll. Many thanks.
@QuiltingWithNancy5 күн бұрын
Depending on the Jelly Roll you can make 8 to 9 blocks so add a couple of extra strips that "go with" your Jelly Roll and you will be fine :)

what is the name of the batting you use that you an iron it? I have always used polyester, and I can't iron on my quilts.
@QuiltingWithNancy18 күн бұрын
You want to use a cotton or a cotton blend so it can be ironed.
