They do. Night and day difference in ride quality from my old OEM leaking front struts. With the affordability, I just went ahead and replaced the rears at the same time.

Right where the transmission meets the engine. There's an inspection cover there if you want to take it off and confirm the leak.

@LuckyVagabond there in lies the rub. The battery cable was tucked way down -out of sight; on a friend's with same generator as well. No place in the institution manual does it tell you that is an issue, nor in the company videos. We literally watched about 25 KZbin videos when a guy mentioned it off-hand. Tons of frustration that Firman could solve with one sentence in the manual, so i it's on them. Once solved she runs like a champ.

These 4"-5" over-wide filters are 10X better that the usual excuse for a filter. Makes hot-air heat more tolerable cuz less dust. And in our small house with lots of paper and pets I don't HAVE to change the filter every fall (and I do monitor pressure-drop).

I agree. They are fantastic. Every unit should have at least a 5" filter. So much better than the 1" filters.

Hi I have 2006 Honda pilot and my alarm goes off randomly I did try to disconnect the hood sensor but for some reason the alarm still goes off so, I was wondering what could the problem be if the hood sensor didn’t solve the issue?

My rear hatch sensor failed as well, so I had to disconnect that one too. Each door also has one too, but those have been fine so far. I bet it's your rear hatch sensor.

Hi so, I did disconnect the rear hatch sensor wire and the alarm still goes off at a random time but I noticed something yesterday when I closed the car door the dome lights stayed on while the door is closed and my key fob won’t lock it when I press the lock button on the key fob. I then turned off the dome lights by pressing the switch and then locked the door manually from the inside 6 hours later the alarm went off again and I pressed the unlock button on the key fob to turn the alarm off. So, I had to leave the car door unlock for the alarm not to go off. Do you think my door sensors is faulty that’s why is causing the dome lights to stay on and alarm going off?

@@dehiyasitero1938 Hi, I'm still trying to fix mine but will wait until tomorrow so not to wake anybody up etc: but I suspect if you tried unhooking the hood and back door, then all that is left is to unhook the doors. Funny thing about Japanese cars , even Hondas, seem to have inferior wiring, or it doesn't seem to hold up as good a the rest of the car. MHO. Cheers.

The thermostat is mechanical thing, so it is open or close based on the actual coolant temp, not the ECT sensor temp I think. I'm trying to understand why people or ads talk about overheating?

They are talking about overheating because if you ever overheat because of a thermostat or water pump failure, the disabler is going to mask the issue if it isn't smart enough to recognize an overheat situation. The S-VCM Controller is smart enough to recognize an overheat situation and will switch back to showing you the real coolant temperature on your dash temp gauge.

How exactly does disabling VCM affect fuel economy? Considering how the VCM disablers work, it supplies a false data of the ect to the ECU, giving the impression that the engine is not warmed up. If the ECU thinks the car is not warmed up, it will not engage VCM. But does this not also mean that the ECU will not go into closed loop? Does this not also mean that the ECU will keep burning more fuel to try to get the engine to operating temperature? This means very poor fuel economy. Please shed more light on this. Thanks.

Not exactly sure, but my fuel economy improved after installing it. 28 mpg on highway at 75 to 80 mph and 20-24 in the city.
