I like how Wizard squadron's intro clues you in on their tactics. One of their callsigns is Wizard 5, but there's only 4 planes. Then during battle, you got missiles flying in from nowhere. That's when you see other targets on radar: YF-23As, stealth fighters. And then it clicks into place. Four planes act as a diversion, while the other four try to snipe you from a distance. It's a pretty cool detail that i didn't think about until i replayed the game.

Ace Combat Zero is my favorite of the series, and that Lietmotif at 1:27 really captures the feeling you get playing this game. It captures the emoitional high of a mission about the liberation of a capital city, while also carrying a hint of sadness for what is happening to the world at large.

One thing I realized is that apparently there is a plot hole concerning AC5 and ACZ in this mission. In Zero, Pops gets shot down by Cipher. Bartlett, already known as Heartbreak One (and also having the nickname "Kid"), also gets shot down (probably shot down by Ashley Bernitz or Michael Heimeroth, considering both appear as "Grabacr" and "Ofnir" respectively depending on what Ace Style you have), with Pops and Bartlett making it past the wasteland, all the way to the Osean frontlines, where Bartlett convinced them that Pops was his squadron leader (kinda weird, considering flight suit patches, accents and all that, but okay). In AC5, when Perreault holds Pops at gun point, he says that "15 years ago, you and Bartlett were shot down behind enemy lines, and all the data on your plane was fried by Belka's electromagnetic pulse weaponry". However, Excalibur (a laser weapon, not an EMP) was already destroyed by Mission 10, and the nuclear detonations (which can cause EMPs, but only if the detonation is at high altitude) don't occur until Mission 12, and they all happen far away from Area B7R, where Pops' plane was shot down. Strange... maybe something was lost in translation in AC5 or perhaps did Project Aces forgot to add any EMP weaponry in this mission? I don't think Schnee 5's EA-6B Prowler counts as "electromagnetic pulse weaponry", even so because Pops (Huckebein) only appears during Mercenary style.

0:01 - 0:12 I found something. The synth notes in the beginning of the song that are played every 2 seconds, there are 7 of them. 7 nuclear explosions. Foreshadowing or random similarity? I think it's foreshadowing. My theory is maybe true, let me know in the comments
