Are there also on location solutions? Such as machines wich are able to decontaminate soil on site pulled by a tractor, maybe in the size of a loading wagon, that showels the upper surface and processes the Earth through several stages of clensing, filtering and decontamination? Showel Debree filters Chemtank ( Where thin filtered soil goes in and chemicals decon it ) Washtank ( Where the mud spurls through and gets cleaned from the chemical ) Drying container ( strong hot windblast blower drying 20 KG soil mud into dust in maybe 3 minutes, wich lands on the surface then ) Storage tanks for contaminated debrees... Helicopter jet turbine or aircraft APU 400 to 800 degreese oxidizing the soil in a compartment. Gas filter Water tank Fuel tank Pressure bag module Other idea... Decon modules deployable by Chinook Helicopters. Like 4 modules compleeting a modular soil decon plant to place theese in remote areas uncreachable for trucks...to factories. Where each module houses about 5 essential treatment or fuel.

I'm surprised the people working on the site aren't wearing PPE to protect themselves from the contaminated site. With all the dust blowing around they should be wearing respirators and gloves.

Very informative video. I am a fresh civil eng grad going for a job interview for a site remediation job, and this video has given me a great insight of what goes on on site. Thank you for the upload!

Good stuff, as a student of this kind of remediation, I love seeing videos like this from your company. They give you a broader idea of what is going on. Thanks for posting this.

Where do you move the contaminated land?

Hi Audrey! Remediation professionals dispose of contaminated materials at special facilities after sending samples to the laboratory to see what hazards may be encountered. There are regulations in different regions (my specialty is NJ, USA). I hope this helps!

Yeah but if you know of contamination you can get a discount on the land. And demand is less so you can sometimes make a deal work out very nicely by using the information strategically.

I hope that friable asbestos / Perc fumes don't fly through the fencing and around that baby getting into the black car (at the end of the video).

Where did the arsenic come from? Was it in a fertilizer or pesticide used on the plants?

How about the sites that are fire damaged? what kind of contamination are we looking at? is the remediation process more expensive?

No one should buy a property without having the study done. It would be a nightmare to find out that bad things are sitting in the dirt later. This video does a great job outlining the methodology a professional would use.
