This is a terrible video. Some solenoids have more than 1ohm resistance. The transmission I'm working on now has solenoids that manuals say should read 3.1ohms. Also, they run on 5v, not 12v. So this is wrong with that test also. The correct test for this is to find out the rated current and amp of the solenoid and supply that while monitoring the solenoid. If the voltage or amperage go outside of those preset settings at the beginning, it is a bad solenoid. Most solenoids do test good and only fail when hot and in use for longer periods of time.

Samson control valve positioner unable to set the position of 0-100%. In 100% setpoint it was reaching only 60%, if any adjustment was done 0% was disturbing
