I remember this like it was yesterday. I was in Haarlem watching it on the big screen. Mew somehow showed up and rocked the fucking world in a way no one expected. THIS SONG. They destroyed the Arena and they destroyed the Music Awards. Truly one of the best moments in all modern music. Those fucking drums. People were losing their shit. Deservedly. It was fucking wild bro. Mew Danish Music Awards Snow Brigade was one of the very finest moments in all modern music those fucking drums. A college boyfriend showed me this song, years and years ago. I didn’t really like it then tbh, but I loved it bc he loved it. Now, years later, I fkn love it. I rarely listen to it, but it’s become a staple of my late-late night solo walks, wandering around dreamily.

They played She Came Home for Christmas (albeit the new version), and Panda in the medley. 😊 I really like Web and Coffee Break too, but the album as a whole doesn't hold up to Frengers and 'Kites' at all, in my humble opinion. There are more songs from those albums I'm really missing here. Like Eight Flew Over, One Was Destroyed. That one's just pure magic. Or The Seething Rain Weeps for You, or Behind the Drapes. Or 'Half the World' songs like the full Mica and Saliva. Ugh, they have so many good songs, not even considering their later albums! It's not fair. 😂
