So the Covenant A.I. wanted the rings to be fired so it would kill their masters in order to gain it’s freedom? Did I interpret that correctly?

I suddenly feel very bad for guilty spark he spent so much time alone and going mad for thousands of years wondering if he was the single last sentient being left in the entire cosmos and became so bored that he started ripping off chunks of his beloved instillation for some sort of entertainment until by the time we meet him he'd more or less completely lost it

What was the point of wiping out all life. To starve the flood to keep some alive on the halo rings. That's why the flood returns

What game(s) are these terminals from? Seems to be drawing quite a bit from the Forerunner novels and Halo 4 lore, but I didn’t think any of that was even written yet when Halo 1-3 were released. Or are these retroactive terminals?

What logic is there in preserving the flood for study in the hopes of finding an immunization/cure when the weapons you built would completely eradicate them, thereby negating the need for a cure?
@takedown205productions63 жыл бұрын
... Because destroying an entire galaxy's worth of life, is harder to compensate for than finding a method of curing the flood.

@@theravenlordmasterofthevib8991 Sure, we have a big ol' super weapon to kill the flood with, but the flood came in from beyond the galaxy, after being chased to Andromeda by the Forerunners. Humanity inadvertently found a cure via Johnson, and his Boren's Syndrome; by scrambling his neural frequencies, he was deemed unusable by the flood. Hence, how he survived the swamp in CE. Edit: I point this out, because the Flood is an existential threat. You can only hit the big red button so many times, before something gives and it fails.

Do slightly confused about one thing here:the construct 343 talks to in the truth and reconciliation sounds like the didact, and the dialogue is in line with him as well talking about being the only thing remaining after the firing of the rings again and attaining freedom. Is it actually him? Or what I’m rather perplexed

Well, the first terminal causes cannon issues, i mean it makes sense that spark mistook mc for a forerunner which is why he is talking to chief like he is a forerunner of halo and thought he knew all the protocols and procedures of a flood outbreak, and only just learned of human history when he went to the pillar of autom crash site. But the first terminal video implies he knew they where not forerunner, so he did purposefully betray master chief following that logic. But why? If the humans are the re claimers, it would be up to them to follow the procedures or not, not up to spark. Unless of course you take in account that spark used to be human and therefore thinks he can make the choice, but that creates another flaw, if he used to be human, why cant he activate halo? Seems like someone created these terminals without much thought to if they make sense to the lore. Also, if he had defenses up and was able to destroy the pillar of autom like he implies, why did he also let the covenant past the defenses? Either those threats against the autom where empty, or he foolishly ignored all the other obviously different ships. Ill have to consider these terminals non cannon as they create too many flaws, way to go 343.

Well there is a hypothesis that MC has the geas(forgot how its spelled) of Iso Didact: halo.fandom.com/wiki/Geas 343 mentions it in this video.

throughout the terminals, I guess Guilty Spark was slowly going Rampant, due to loneliness and questioning his orders and himself. He constantly shot down and destroyed all ships that got near, Never knowing what happened outside the ring. Eventually Humanity showed up, and assumed they knew of the rings and were searching for them from the get go, despite it being hte opposite. Then everyone was trying to survive Keys got hit by the flood and struggled to strip himself down to name, rank, and serial number until Chief came to kill him and end the suffering caused by the protogravemind. So Spark never got to know the truth until Chief refused to fire the halos. He then started reminiscing about the Librarian and the Diadact, as well as how humanity didnt follow an unknown protocol and how the forerunner drones would do things different, and decided to use the Covenant to get in contact with the other rings and use them. still wondering if he ever ended up losing to rampancy.
