Does this include accounting for taxes you have to pay quarterly?
@sonjathompkins52013 жыл бұрын
I’m literally seeing this a whole year later 😫 I apologize. It depends on the taxes you’re talking about. Quarterly sales taxes ..yes ( in a sense) because you collect it on every sales transaction when you do weekly admin tasks that money should be placed in a separate bank account so that when it time to put you already have it, because it was never “yours” as the business owners to begin with. if you mean quarterly payroll and other taxes, no. it wouldn’t include that. I’d love to connect with you. I have two IG accounts www.Instagram.com/productstoprosperity and @sonjathompkins If you have other questions we DM me

@sonjathompkins52014 жыл бұрын
Hi Gabrielle ! It’s not an accounting guide, but it does include information to help you manage and track those amounts as part of your process. 😊
@gabrielleveray14 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to put aside a percentage of your taxes using that method? Or are you including that in the 25% to keep your business going on a consistent basis?
@sonjathompkins52014 жыл бұрын
Gabrielle Veray are you talking about sales taxes, payroll taxes, or personal income taxes? Sales taxes YES, payroll & personal income NO.

OMG.... I’m so sorry. This is Sonja, but I’m just realizing I’m replying under my sons account in my phone🤦🏾♀️ At any rate, pop ups work to accelerate the growth of an online store. You need awareness and traffic to build online sales. You can do that by paying for actual ads ( not post boosts) or pop ups. I explain more in other videos like this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIDSi2iGac-Ag6c
@UniquelyTisa5 жыл бұрын
@@Jointed56 ok, thank you. For some reason I'm not really big on post boosts. I've been leaning more towards ads on radio shows and podcasts.

Great video, only thing is if the product cost you $25 (a party dress , purse,jacket etc ) to mark that up 4x will be a lot 😭 then you won’t be selling anything because customers will complain it’s too exspensive , how do we work around that ?
@sonjathompkins52015 жыл бұрын
ItsQueendom That’s a common worry. The formula is a basic structure. Somethings you can price more or less based on the QUALITY of the item. But also, everyone who’s shopping isn’t looking for the cheapest cost. It depends on who decided to target as a customer. I teach how to do that effectively here: gumroad.com/l/claritytocustomer If you are targeting people with a smaller shopping budget, than you may want to only buy products that will allow you to mark up appropriately and still stay at a retail cost they will pay for. You really have to make your business profitable so you can eventually pay yourself consistently. A major reason why so many boutiques shut down within the first 3 years.

I am trying to start a boutique doing pop Up shops and from my research and calculations, this some bs advice. $800 CANNOT start up a boutique. $800 can only purchase maybe 6-7 styles and your store will look very empty even in a small space. Customers get turned off when there is not much choices. Second, just the fixtures to set up is would blow the $800. A tent cost $300 to $500. If you going to give advice speak about what you did and what it cost you, not this general bs that makes no sense. No wonder no one is following you bc this is empty banter.
@sonjathompkins52015 жыл бұрын
Camaelyonz M. Everyone’s business is different and what it costs to start varies. And this IS EXACTLY how I started my pop up boutique that bank rolled into 3 stand alone brick and mortar locations. I’ve also successfully helped several clients who had less than 1k do the same. Their testimonials are all over my website www.brickandmortar.com All pop- up shops don’t require tents. All pop up shops or even high end boutiques don’t require tons of merchandise. And when you are a specialty shop ( the true definition of a boutique) it’s even easier to stock. My techniques to help boutique entrepreneurs work and my dozens of clients with profitable boutiques are the proof.

I am launching for the first time in Memorial Day, I like this system. I had already just did a mark up, the mark up was a little over what you suggest with the 4xs, and some of the inventory (with its quality) I felt the mark up was too high. what do you think? Are you including shipping in the 4xs? thanks!!

camee michelle first off congratulations 🎉 I’m wishing you all the success 😊 And yes, the suggestion is four times so your business is covered, but everything should be examined for quality ect. and priced accordingly. Hi Sonja. Enjoying this video. But from my prospective, I think people feel hesitant about showing themselves because of the many prejudices that are out there. Believe it or not but there are many consumers who for instance, see a Black face and assume that the product, earrings in my case, are produced only for Black women. So in order to draw that sector of people in, if a symbol or logo is posted as your image, they don't see color but product. Just my take on it.
@sonjathompkins52015 жыл бұрын
cm g All those things may be true. But then those are NOT your customers. And on the flip side there is a whole other segment of people who are actively searching for a black woman owned business to support and if you “hide” behind your logo or anything else you miss that. All stats show ( and I’ve personally experienced) that in today’s economy people are more like likely to shop with SOMEONE they know like and trust. 😉
