I was just saying it seemed like The Boys are trying to copy Call of Duty and I feel like after what happened to Black Noir In Season 3 his character should have been done with since to me I felt his whole story arc was explained and we didn’t need to see Black Noir 2 because it just feels like a cheap knock off potentially that’s the plot of the season knock off supes

If it got out that black noir died, one of the most “indestructible” supes, it would send a message to the world that what they sell is a lie. It’s also a nod to another theme of the show-supe entertainers. Bob Singer tells Victoria that “supes should be entertainers, nothing more”. This new black noir’s background is that of an actor, and it shows how they are very often pigeon-holed into one of three industries. Crime, entertainment, or the military industrial complex. Supes are treated like celebrities in this universe, so putting them into the military or criminal justice conflicts with their general perception by the public, and is allegory for the amount of influence celebrities have on our sociopolitical system in the U.S, IRL. It’s a philosophical critique of the real-world implications of celebrities being political activists and spokespeople for various industries and corporations.
