FAKE The Song Something Happens is not the Bowie one he mansionned in interview. It's the Colin Blunstone's composed and written by himself in 1974, named Something Happens When You Touch Me

I just randomly thought of this tune a minute ago and correctly recalled that it was the theme from this movie, but it took me a few seconds.
Wow I don't think I ever noticed that little Beethoven nod at the verrry end Pretty good when you have to compose the theme for a movie *named after* a famous composer, and it's still memorable

I just had my daughter 3 months ago (our 1st child). Can’t wait till the day I can watch Beethoven with her on Saturday morning. When this theme song pops on, there will definitely be tears in my eyes from nostalgia and happiness lol

It’s funny how those sound effects were in every movie in the 90’s but were only popular for 8 years or-so.

Burn notice to Brisco County Jr. to Randy Edelman to amazing music I never knew I already knew.
As a kid I thought at least part of this was composed by Beethoven, but I guess that would have made too much sense.

Funny how composer choose piano part to sound like Classical piano concerto intro (Mozart, Haydn) instead of Romanticism (Beethoven was early romantic)

Not a bad movie with a sensible story and a soundtrack with some very nice pieces that do bring some nice early 90s feeling, but I do really wonder whose idea this was in the first place aka a dog named after a famous composer. Plus why Beethoven and why a Saint Bernard? And how weird it looks to see a cast pretending to be family, like that’s their house, like that’s their dog and caring for him, and being a family of private citizens when actually giving a public performance. This movie probably should never been made at all.
