A buckle twenty in a N/A Miata, that’s pretty dang good right there! I think I got my stock NA6 to a buckle fifteen on a slight downhill once but original 5 speed etc so I was pretty much at redline lol

Times like these are when I love my KZbin algorithm. I freaking love this shit. Some of the most fun I ever had in a car was with my 2004 5MT 4motion Torsen AWD 1.8T Passat. Bigger turbo, 18psi, snow tires, mudflaps, roof rack, fog lamps, and miles upon miles of Appalachain dirt forest / logging roads. Man do I miss that car.

off man, looks like fun, but the gearing from the top of 2nd to the bottom of 3rd is way too big of a drop. Once you shift to 3rd it seem to bog down

@JustinSeara yes it is. As for the gearing I think it's mostly the fact that the car is bone stock with at best 80whp. Also it might not seem that way in the video but I'm going uphill with a grade and that makes it even worse.

Found your page again once I bought my Miata. Thanks again for the driver seat and steering wheel advice. However I sold my Miata and after 10 years I'm back into a Honda 2000 Ek coupe. This leads me to my question since your in the Honda game too. I am looking to buy coilovers and some what on a budget. Do you have know anyone or do you have any feedback on Truhart coilovers? I am between Truhart or Skunk2 coilovers. Thanks in advance!

You have some of the best driving videos out. Great shots of doing fly by, and the way you have sound coming through the trees before you rip by is fantastic ! Plus the fact you run a natural aspirated build, not the common go to turbo and show how enjoyable it is to just rip down a road. I keep eyeballing ITB but in my mind I realize a simple na build on my NB2 will help keep it more reliable and cost down . Then again, your videos with ITB sound, tough call. Would imagine driving a bit slower car on public road has to be better than staring at a car on jack stands !

I have a 99 NB1 (also VVT swapped) so it has a 4.3 differential, I am considering 6 speed and I love how yours is geared, what ratio diff do have ? Great to see the Miata back on here!

Oil pressure gauge going funky, wanted to check your pressure but not so accurate :D I got it too after the swap, try and grind the connector pin of the oil sender a bit for better connection!
