This is the best sounding sampled drums ever made in my opinion. So realistic and professional sounding.

Hey Luke, great sounds and playing. What is the very first snare and the kick and toms you are using at 0:25 on the timeline? I have EZD2 and I want to use that snare and the kit... Kindly let me know in the comment... TIA

Hard to believe that those samples, sounds so real. Toontrack really did an amazing job and you calibrated your kit perfectly and played great.

Thank you! And I agree, the reverb in this Big Stage EZX does sound amazing dnd it's a blast to play with using edrums as well!

To me the EZX3 core lib still the best! They nailed the sounds plus it feels much better with e-drums

These sound great! But I'm curious if there are any unprocessed drum sounds in sd3 or the new ezdrummer
@DrumangleOfficialАй бұрын
Superior Drummer 3 libraries typically include unprocessed drum samples in addition to the included mix presets.

I know you probably get a million questions. But here goes. I have a TD-17 module which I'm using to send midi into Superior Drummer. But the hi-hat sucks. Bad triggering and unresponsive. It's a Roland hi-hat. Is there as setup template that I can use? Everything else seems ok. But the hi-hat is awful. Help me Obi-Drum-Kenobi! You're my only hope!

I love the look of this video. How did you get everything other than the kit blacked out and invisible?
@DrumangleOfficialАй бұрын
Thank you! So I'm doing quite a lot of post production: I have the camera settings set in a way to get as wide of a dynamic range as possible, then I'm doing additional color grading in Premiere Pro. I have a black curtain all around me, but to get that blacked out look, there's some post processing contrast adjustments and specific masking techniques I'm doing within Premiere Pro.

OMG this is sp helpful. Just started using SD3 with my kit and constantly had to adjust levels in SD3 to make everything sound even, but now it's all done in my kit. This is invaluable.

way too much talking
@DrumangleOfficialАй бұрын
Agreed, this was a POC type video that I created for the experience of creating it, one of the very first ones I did. Never intended to put it on KZbin but ended up uploading it anyway. Definitely too much talking, too many jump cuts, etc. However, that's how you learn, by diving right in.

Great drum playing and sound ! Do you prefer EZdrummer 3 to 2 ? What I dont like about EZdrummer 3 is that it lacks the natural reverb that EZdrummer 3 has.

6:50 Naturally, the second note of the double will be a little bit louder. That's so interesting: When I try to imitate this technique while watching the video for the first time, by first stroke is always louder. I guess that probably means I'm doing something fundamentally different from you, but who knows. In any case, if you can make the sound more even, and we seem to be using a mixture of muscles (full leg, ankle, toes) then you can probably make either stroke louder, just like with hand double strokes, where, even though the first note is naturally louder, you can actually make the second note very slightly louder by messing with the time displacement of your arm, wrist, and finger motions (specifically, I think I wait until after the first hit to grip with my fingers), and of course the standard goal is to be just shy of this so that the strokes sound even.
