Greatest thing's out of Indiana is Michael Jackson, James Dean, Dusenburg, Indiana Jones, and anyone born there. Back in the 70s the bars could not sell alcohol so they were open to anyone to eat food. Sawdust on the floor. I miss the Shriners Circus tent style, at Xmas time. Or the Fall Festival. Definitely like the bigger lots for homes not like where i live where you can touch your neighbors house through the kitchen window. And the basement or detached garage.

@baller15g I have friends who carry everywhere in the city. Others not at all. Let's just say there are some neighborhoods that I no longer do biz in. And many others I don't get out of the vehicle without pepper spray. I guess it comes down to personal preference.

Bob is the best! You don't want to work with anyone else if you are moving to Indy or anywhere near Indy. He worked with my husband and me about seven years ago when we planning a move from Florida to Indianapolis. He might still be scarred by that interation, LOL, but he was fantastic. Honest, funny, smart, and willing to drag us to a dozen or so houses over the course of a couple of days. Our budget was almost impossibly low, but he still showed us numerous viable candidates for purchase. Go with Bob! He has the knowledge, experience and skills!

What is the state and property tax there?

I have been searching videos of Indiana and you are the only one that i have found that provides this amount of information. If we decide to move from TX one day, i will want you to help us. My husband got a kidney transplant and we will need to get close to a specialty hospital just in case. Is this area a safe one? Are there any houses with no HOA? What are the state taxes and property taxes? TIA

@brendacollzo7740 I'm glad you find our videos to be helpful. And thank you for tuning in! Indianapolis and Carmel have many specialty hospitals, and there are a few scattered around in other towns as well. I'm pretty certain you would be able to find the healthcare you're wanting. And be able to live in a clean, safe, vibrant area. State sales taxes are 7% but there are no taxes on groceries and taxes on gasoline are lower than many places. Property taxes run around 1 1/4% of assessed value (which is a smaller number than sale price). Generally, the cost of living here is lower than many, many places. I've got a video on the cost of living in Indianapolis if you'd like to check it out.

@brendacollazo7740 Absolutely! In fact, some of the most coveted areas do not have HOA's. However, if you want a new build, they almost always have HOA's. And I guess that's pretty much true everywhere in the US. Illinois resident here....Pritzker has absolutely destroyed this state. He's done nothing to address the taxes and cost of living. I'm looking to leave as soon as I can, I'm miserable here.
