My daughter just took her tease both times scored an 80. Her science score apparently is not high enough to be considered for the nursing program she did very well in the math portion. Missed science score by 4 points . She is a straight a student so should she apply again next year for Howard’s program? And what do she do for a full year next year? All her pre nursing classes will be finished this semester. Help we are confused with what her options are. I also know sometimes pass students advice is better than advisers.

I know you are busy with your career. My daughter just took tease and only got a high math score. Her science score was 4 points lower than need score overall score was an 80. Take tease again next year and apply after that or change majors to graduate on time? We are lost . I am asking you because you got your stuff together and I am hurting for her and I do not know what to tell her to do

I am so happy you made this video, your motivation is similar to mine I had so many questions about the nursing program at Howard... I'm in my junior year of hs and honestly hope and pray I get accepted. If you remember..how were your grades in hs and what did u do to get in?

Heeeeyyy and thank you! My grades were all A’s and a few B’s. I made sure my grade were high, SAT and ACT scores were as high as I could get them and checked my paperwork prior to admitting.

So durning the colder times, the steam pipes exploded in a couple buildings on campus. The Nursing building was one of them. We have classes in other main buildings and the trailers near Towers on campus.

reading online i saw some bad reviews of the nursing program. some people said that the professors are horrible and dont care about the students passing. how are the professors and what is your rating of the program?

hello, so every university has its Pros and Cons online and in person. I would say you make the best out of the any education system. There are some new professors. They all have an abundance of experience in the healthcare system. I would defiantly stay at this program, but you need to bring your A game. Tutors, extra late hours and all. Awww heyyy! Congratulation on getting accepted. So your major will be nursing, but you need to start your prerequisites first. The first two years of your undergrad will be taking the prerequisite for nursing. So Biology, Chemistry, Statistics and more. The last two years of upper grad program will be all of your major nursing classes(Fundamentals, Maternity, Pharm, etc). For us, there was an interview at the end of sophomore year to be accepted into the upper division. So keep your grades up and stay focused!

Tianna Chanté Hey it would be up to the registar office and your counseling to help determine what credits will transfer. I would say bring your transcript with your credits on it in person when you get to campus to sit with your advisor to see if they transfer. You can only apply for upper division with all prerequisite completed and in the Fall.

Hey so I can defiantly make a video talking about the nursing program as a whole. Things have changed over the last year. The program is competitive because your graduating class will be smaller than the beginning. I would say be prepared to balance life and clinical and classes. Clinical can be in Maryland or DC as well.
