Things you should know DOS2 is not a game with a classical class system but has a categorized skill system. = That means you have to build your characters based solely on skills. There are 10 categories providing different skills and some few skills of those categories are a must have for every character build because those are essential for combat. Those essential skills from 4 categories are: From scoundral : the skills "Adrenaline" + "cloak&dagger" From pyrokinetics : the skills "Haste" + "Peace of mind" From polymorph : the skill "Chameleon cloak" From huntsman : the skill "First Aid" Those 6 skills are basics for combat no matter how the main focus of the character build is. "Adrenaline" = provides 2 extra Action point for 1 turn which is basically +1extra attack for that turn BUT those 2 extra points are taken from your next turn which means you have 2 Action points less the next turn = so therefore Adrenaline has to be used tactically + wisely. "Cloak&Dagger" = "self-teleporting".. 1) many areas are only reachable with teleporting. 2) in combat obviously very useful as well for positioning (The huntsman category has also a self-teleporting skill named "tactical retreat" but the difference is, that with cloak&dagger you can teleport while being in disguise + you are staying in disguise at the teleport arrival point (= teleporting while hidden as barrel,bush or rock) and therefore you can sneak in and sneak out, which can´t be done with "tactical retreat" where you are always in full display) "Haste" (lasts 2 turns) = provides an increase of movement = +2meters per Action point and additionally gives 1 extra Action point per turn (=great synergy with Adrenaline= +2AP from Adrenaline and +1AP from Haste = +3 extra Action Points for 1 turn) "Peace of mind" (lasts 3 turns) = Increase of Strength, Finesse, Intelligence with +1 + scaled level and increase of Wits with +2 + scaled level..additionally and way more important = removes the conditions "blinded", "terrified", "charmed", "taunted", "sleeping", "enraged" and "mad" "Chameleon cloak" (lasts 2 turns) = invisibility for 2 turns "First Aid" = Healing spell for the life bar + removes the conditions "crippled", "knocked down", "blinded", "silenced", "suffocating", "bleeding", "burning", "poisoned", "diseased", "infested" and "plague" Again those 6 skills are essentials for every build and all the other skills are then flavour for the main focus of your character build so to speak. Another thing: for increasing the amount of any type of physical damage (mellee combat or ranged combat) you have to spend points foremost into warefare + either strength(= melee with swords or axes) or finesse (= ranged with bow or crossbow or also for melee but with spears, )...for increasing the amount of magic damage you have to invest points foremost into Intelligence + a bit into the category of the used spells. In order to increase the number of critical hits you have to invest into wits. Attacks from behind does also way more damage as well. To invest points into Constitution is not that important, not to say "a total waste of points" but which they are unless you are using shields because shields always need a certain number of constitution points as prerequisit in order to be able to be equiped. For a beginner it is way better to build a party either fully specialised solely on physical damage or fully specialised solely on magical damage ..a mixed party doing both damage types is a very hard task when not familiar with the game + its game mechanics + especially when not familiar with all the synergies certain magic skills of different categories then combined do provide.

Correct, Liquid Metal would be the best. I’ve upgraded my system since this video and now have a 7800x3d. With the Kryosheet, a new Arctic freezer 3 360mm AIO and an offset of -25 on the curve in PBO, I get 70c max all core @ around 4.9GHz. So the Kryosheet is a beast, don’t forget Liquid Metal eats away at pretty much all coolers cold plates.

Thanks for this, I know I'm late to the party, but there still aren't any real reviews of this except for one very ad-hoc feeling one by J2C. I get that the product is new, but I really wish someone with a lab would talk about this product and give it the look it deserves. I mean, I get it's more expensive, but also - the benefits feel like they outweigh the cost, especially for a hobbyist who doesn't upgrade every year. Or someone like me that who is the person who builds out all my friends' systems, even if it's 1c worse on average, it's worth it to not having to worry about dry-out for friends that want to keep their pc for 5 years. And sure, it's 'more expensive' - but for a $1500-$3000 rig, splurging an extra 20 bucks to never have to re-paste the system for someone who isn't interested in doing a bunch of maintenance feels like a pretty easy sell.

Mind if anyone suggest if this is a good option to use on my gaming laptop. i have an acer predator 2021 i5 10th gen RTX 3060 and play games with turbo mode. CPU reaches 80-100c while gpu reaches 70-80c. Ambient room temp is around 29-31c. Turbo mode is not exactly overclocking right?
@Flipfile. Жыл бұрын
Laptops is a hard one; for one you’d have to be so so careful applying this; two it could help but I don’t think enough to warrant the effort and possible danger associated with this product. I think your best bet would be to get yourself the best Thermal Grizzly paste, check the temps over a few days. If your happy with the results look into the Kryosheet. Your ambient temp will be a big factor in your machines overall temp, as well as airflow your allowing to reach the intakes of the laptop. My opinion is try too thermal paste and a laptop cooling pad. You might get better results than just the Kryosheet. One last thing, depending on age of the laptop a clean out of the fans and just general maintenance might bring your temps down a few C.
@BenderdickCumbersnatch Жыл бұрын
30:30 where did you get the impression that Kryosheet is reusable? Der8uer the inventor did a Gamers Nexus interview, "CPU Thermal Issues & Der8auer's Scientific Solutions", and at 19:58 he explains that Kryosheet is SINGLE USE. The thin pad gets pressed into the pits and bumps of the CPU and cooler on the first use, and it does not regain its old shape after removal, so it is "spent" after one use. It is a great pad for thermal transfer (better than pastes, almost as good as liquid metal) and longevity, but reusability is not one of its features. Even just unscrewing the same cooler and putting it back on means you should replace the KryoSheet, according to him.
@BenderdickCumbersnatch Жыл бұрын
By the way, the purpose of Kryosheet is to be "almost as good as liquid metal" but be long-lasting. It is better than normal thermal paste. So consider that it's an extremely niche, extreme product. I prefer Arctic MX-6. A 4 gram tube is 5x cheaper than Kryosheet, and that tube lasts for like 8 CPUs, so it's actually 40x cheaper.
@Flipfile. Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info! I have now “reused” my Kryosheet twice times on the same CPU and cooler and I am still running at the same temps and PBO settings in my MoB bios, with same stability. Maybe I have a great silicon level 5800x allowing this, but I can see what you mean by this comment. I have noticed how thin and frail the sheet has become, but as of now it is still performing amazingly after being removed twice post original application. I guess we’ll only know how long it can really last after a few years and more information has made its way into the wild. And on price, of course it all depends on your budget. I’d rather pay more for a product that might only last two applications, But those applications are a cooler upgrade and a system upgrade saving me the hassle of cleaning paste.
@BenderdickCumbersnatch Жыл бұрын
@@Flipfile. Ah. Be careful with your remaining usage then, since each time you remove it, it loses some of the thermal contact because the imprinted pits/bumps don't line up anymore. I am glad it's still working well so far! :) I also agree with you that its convenience of achieving near-liquid metal temperatures without any hassle is a really good thing!

I think the kryosheet being on par with actual good premium thermal paste is a good thing though? It means it does the same job, has the same temps, but never dries out or gets worse over time. JayzTwoCents tested them in a recent video, he noticed that there was only like 1 celcius difference between this new thermal pad, and the very best consumer-grade thermal paste... He was looking for an alternative to thermal paste, because he hates having to clean it all the time in his testing bench... But now he can just use this, he might even just use them for every gaming rid and stuff, because it's literally JUST as effective as thermal paste, and yet, doesn't dry up ('cus it's not a paste), doesn't degrade, is reusable, etc etc... This might be the thermal pad, to END thermal paste usage on PC's, forever. :o

Correct, I did watch it when he released it. We kind of came to the same conclusion, I did notice however on my system with a Ryzen 5800x I was able to push the PBO and undervolt further than on paste. Also this is a great alternative to paste on GPU’s if you keep your GPU longer than 2 years!

@@BenderdickCumbersnatch JayzTwoCents tested reusability, by ACTUALLY using it over and over again, instead of just looking at how the pressure affects the pad. :P It's reusable... Sure it's effectiveness may be reduced by a margin that isn't measurable, given the huge margin of error... but it's still effective enough to be reused. Not that it NEEDS to be reused... As it's a permanent cooling solution... So unless the GPU or CPU in question is artefacting, you're never going to need to open them up to beign with. :P
