You keep comparing the size of the bait to the fish ur catching, do you not realize what a predator fish will eat? It’ll easily eat something half its size to like 2/3rds its size. Some die because they literally try to eat something way to big.

They spawn at the same time as the bluegill. Most of the time, they spawn in the same beds with the bluegill. Springtime temps trigger the initial spawn. Here, it is always the first week of May. You will need to figure out your official spring spawn time. It will be close to this same timeline. Some of them will spawn again several times throughout the summer. These spawns are more erratic and harder time. However, if you locate the beds, mark them with GPS or remember where they are. Fish them periodically through the summer. They will be in there several more time but in much smaller numbers.

I typically use a 2000 series spinning reel (I have a couple) and a lite rod. I mostly use my Panfish Elite rod from Bass Pro. 6lb mono is my go-to for most panfish.

Whoa some nice gills and redears/hybids!!!! Here in Michigan the lakes are ultra clear, have to stay back and cast. If they see you they won’t bite usually. GREAT CATCH👍

I just got a 4hp 4stroke. From temu the instructions to mix the gas? Came with a two chamber mixing bottle like a two stroke with an extra prop that's not plastic any 2 kill switches 1 not connected to anything

pan the back fins out to get true measurement in states with size limits you will get a ticket for under size crappie when you stretch the back fin out and are right at size limit

Technically, there should be some bluegill spawning all summer. They spawn multiple times. However, the rest of the summer will not have as many spawning at the same time. You can fish the same beds over and over again. There will just be less fish in them after May. I have brand new bream beds at my pond right now that I just found this weekend.

I just read that copper sulfate is toxic to small fish resulting into a possible fish kill. It is a powerful oxidizing agent and can cause cellular damage in living things. Not so sure I would use this method.

Nice Wharf boat. Keep in mind with the trolling motor it is likely to get clogged up with sea weed & Lilly pads . So make it so you can remove the motor easily and maybe take the motor home for safe storage too. .

The information I reviewed showed it was not harmful to humans or pets. It showed to be harmful to trout and koi fish. I assume it could be harmful to other fish in heavy concentrations. Treating surface algae like this puts very little in the water column as a percentage

It’s alot lighter than carrying a big battery with a tolling motor. Carry you a small gallon of gas and you’re ready for a dayer on the lake
