are clay trimmings reserved for flower-pots for a reason? just curious if i should be using my reclaim for flower-pots instead of more cups. lovely work!

Thanks for your comment! I trimmed it like that for the design. Isn't the round one cuter? ^_^ I think it's fine whether you use recycled soil in the flowerpot or not.

Do you use a special flameware clay for a pot like this, or will standard clays work over a small burner like this? I have been working on making a donabe but am worried my clay will crack over an open flame

Thanks for your comment! The clay is a heat-resistant clay containing petalite. Ordinary clay expands and cracks when heated.
