Did any of your lava rock float? I got some rocks and they are always floating
@AquaArena_2 ай бұрын
Aww man, I’m sorry that happened to you that’s something I try to keep in mind when using lava rocks. Fortunately that didn’t happen to me, I tested some of the rocks by dumping them in water and the pieces that I wasn’t able to test I just glued them to each other to try to prevent that from happening

How do u grow the Dwarf baby tears so well? Did u use co2? If so then how do u use co2 without killing the shrimp? I heard that co2 is really bad for them
@AquaArena_2 ай бұрын
If you’re injecting too much co2 that can be deadly for your livestock not just shrimps. Thats why I use a “Co2 drop checker” to monitor the Co2 levels in the tank and keep it at a safe point for my livestock. As for the dwarf baby tears, before I added the fish and shrimp I raised the co2 levels to help them established better and to grow into a thick carpet and once I achieved that I reduced the co2 levels and added the livestock.

Nice, how was the settling in period? Any issues with such low plant mass?
@AquaArena_3 ай бұрын
It wasnt too bad, I had a lot of diatoms and green dust algae but I was resilient with my water changes. I also started my lights at about 35-40% power and then increased it by about 5% every week. I just switched over to RODI water and that has made maintenance a lot easier

Thank you for sharing the process of the build. It is nice to see someone actually looking for a face of a stone or trying to achieve the angle they desire. When it is all done the look you want is there and you can be proud of what you created. That makes those of us watching feel like we can do it too. Beautiful piece!!

Thank you for this wonderful compliment. When I’m creating things I don’t like to rush it I like to take my time and do it right, I tend to leave my hardscapes for a couple of days to observe it and see if I can add more details. Thank you for taking the time to watch this build.

Hi mate, your scape looks great. What are your thoughts on the inline CO2 infuser? Are you happy with it…?
@AquaArena_3 ай бұрын
Thank you.. The inline does a better job at breaking up the co2 bubbles, its also distributed better through your tank and it’s less accessories in your tank. Maintenance wise you don’t have to clean it as much as the standard ones so I love it lol
