Thanks very much for your comment! Glad someone enjoyed it. You are correct - the PO suggestions from MRP don't create Blanket Releases (unless this was fixed recently). For purposes of my example however the idea stands. When someone asks for a "feature" rather than explain what they "want it to do" it can cause a bad sales rep or project manager to start re-inventing the wheel. I've gone into many, many customers and found customization that broke out of the box functionality and had to be cut out to make the system workable again. Sometimes easier to just start over with a blank system to be honest. ASIDE: I am not 100% sure but I think we fixed this problem in our Sabre Production app which we default to all our customers (or we have it on the product lifecycle plan). MRP/Planning Worksheet is good but it has imperfections like the one you mention that need a bit of TLC.

If you have a table with extensions in BC 14, then you need the same extension with the same field names in BC cloud. I think the GUID of the Extension needs to be the same also. If you look in SQL - and add an extension to ITEM adding a field called MyField you will find a new table called something like {company name}$911be045-baf6-466d-9828-af1654561db5$ITEM Where 911be045-baf6-466d-9828-af1654561db5 is the extension ID. it is going to copy the data from the table with that name on-prem to the table with that name in the cloud. You can see these table names in the Cloud Migration Manager. If the same extension ID with the same table extensions exist in the cloud it will work.

Oh - and by the way - based on what I wrote below that means you need to take all C/AL custom fields and create Table Extensions for all of them. That is actually the time consuming part of the upgrade.

Hi Rebecca - you would do the same process but use a negative number in the entry. So if you posed 2 hours to Job 123 you would do the exact process but enter -2 to Job 123. It will remove the cost from the job. You can't unpost in Business Central you would just do the reverse transaction to bring it back to 0
