That only works when the country doesn’t expect war to happen and hasn’t prepared for it. Ukraine prepared for it as they been at war against Russia before, have frequent border clashes, knew about Russia’s military buildup along with having international aid being provided monthly. When everything but the aid is accounted for the war at most would take one and a half to three years. Adding in the aid and it could last a century more or less.

Advanced weaponry makes it harder to send mass amounts of troops in an invasion cuz they can just get bombed

A direct war between Russia and the west would be nuclear, and a direct intervention would escalate too much

European countries doesn't have the power to stop Russia. GDP of US and Europe is inflated. Europe is unable to produce the same amount of war production as Russia.

@@branilavvasic9727 Russia wouldn’t use nukes if the western allies intervened and made it VERY CLEAR the aim isn’t to kill Putler, but just restore Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders, or even the pre war borders. If Russia were to use a nuke Putler would be dead within minutes, and Russia would be nuked. America also most likely has the ability to shoot down a significant number of Russian nukes but the same doesn’t go for Russia when it comes to American nukes. Besides, I don’t think you’d want to see how ugly a world where “we have nukes we can do what we want” will get. I’m assuming you’re Serbian based on your name, so what would you think if America went to war with Serbia over Kosovo, and then if anyone tried to stop them america would threaten with nukes? Or if China would threaten Taiwan with nukes? Would that suddenly be ok? Why should we tolerate a fascist bully attacking a neutral country, and stealing their land and enslaving their people just because they have nukes? You wouldn’t accept your family being murdered, raped, and subjugated whilst being sold out by the rest of the world being cowards, right? So why expect that from the west? Nukes cannot be a tool to bully countries and do fascist wars of aggression. If you’re ok with that you’re ok with big countries trampling small countries, and if my assumption that you’re Serbian is ok I’m pretty sure you’re not actually ok with that kind of a world. I don’t need to remind you of the bombings right… and if you’re a Croat or Bosniak then you were oppressed by the Serbs because they were a bigger country.

Russia will not collapse due to external pressure. Currently their economy and government are rigged for long term diplomatic isolation. If Russia collapses it’s be due to internal pressure by average citizens. Most government officials support the war so such a movement will have to come from the bottom up.

The US wanted to push Ukraine to imply the NATO doctrine tactics that is now completely outdated in the modern warfare, especially when Ukraine had zero air support, having no planes. F-16 are yet to be delivered, 300-km range ATACMS missiles just only now started coming, we haven't really seen much of anything yet
