An i30N as a learner car? Surely a hot hatch is a bit much for new drivers 😅 They wouldn’t even be able to get a sniff of i30N insurance once they’ve fully passed lol, I’m surprised you can even get provisional insurance for it.

Completely fine. Huge gap and no incoming traffic. Also the driver was going under 20mph which is frustrating for anyone who isnt an NPC

This appears to almost be a classic MGIF (Must Get In Front) manoeuvre. The underlying recognition for an MGIF, is the fact that the person performing the overtake; DOESN'T actually receive that much (if any) advantage from the manoeuvre...! 😉👍 This was how it was defined by the cyclists that originally thought up the term. 😉

some people are just impatient and even moreso behind a learner, they never stop to think that once they were in the same position, at least 75% of driving for learners is confidence imo the rest is learning what to do in certain circumstances

Mostly you're better off not swerving for birds on rural roads. One to watch out for is the deer and bucks though, they are most active when the light is changing.

@@CalebAble correct. This is why I drifted slightly over to right. Unfortunately pheasant decided to also go in same direction 🤣. I did a a lot of driving in Australia and kangaroos are the animal you need to be careful of, don’t want to hit one of those. Sometimes we would avoid driving in evenings and get to campsites early.

Not a great example if your a driving school: 168 Being overtaken. If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and speed, slowing down if necessary to let the vehicle pass. Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. Speeding up or driving unpredictably while someone is overtaking you is dangerous. Drop back to maintain a two-second gap if someone overtakes and pulls into the gap in front of you.

You are causing them to be in a vulnerable position much longer than necessary. It’s just bad road etiquette. You road bullied him 😂

I've deliberately stopped to allow people over safely. Used to be one foot on the road I believe we had to give them right of way. Has it not now changed to people have right of way to cross. Obviously road conditions count. Most drivers coming the other way slow or stop if I stop to let people cross safely. Today had been a father and little girl. As a father I'd expect people to take my family into consideration as they would like theirs treated. Would point out I done this years ago only for a boy racer to undercut me and hit a woman. Road positioning is the key from the driver especially to stop an undertake while they cross

If it’s safe to do so, you should give way to pedestrians. As a driver you need to assess this and make sure it is safe.

That broadway roundabout is ruthless I’ve had a bump at that same spot by a foreign taxi driver who couldn’t speak a word of English and decided to try drive off leaving me with a big scrape down the side of my vehicle luckily I recorded him and reported it to the police in which he was later arrested and lost his licence as when they finally pulled him over he was stoned whilst driving 😂 what a dickhead

In my opinion the yellow car is following the priority road and therefore the first one, second car is the blue car which is leaving the priority road in a straight direction. The remaining car has to give way to the blue car.
