Very helpful. The most fiddly bit was reconnecting the plugs to the lights after feeding the wires through the back of the house . I now know why that part of the process isn’t covered in the video !!

No it's not,it's only fiddly for beginners.

I had a huge dollshouse once, bought from a dollshouse show. The penny soon dropped that bigger wasn’t better. It really isn’t great to have a huge unmanageable dolls house. It took forever to decorate, cost a fortune, and was impossible to move. Also it still had the issue of all the rooms pretty much being the same size, with the staircase taking up too much prime space. I also hated that the rooms were deep, and that made it hard to get into it to place things. The rooms always looked cramped. I wanted wider rooms, with a bit of space. In the end I designed my own, modular house and got a local guy to cut the MDF for it. The main part was 3 stories high, with the staircase - which runs right through the house, as it should) tucked at the back. Over the years I added the three other ( pre planned) parts - a basement, a side extension, with no staircase just three rooms - wide rather than deep - and an attic. I could move all of it on my own, which was important to me ( though do need help for the base). The final part was a base, with storage drawers and a garden that pulled out and a flap dropped down. Altogether it has 46 rooms of varying sizes ( which varies as I’ve left a couple of internal walls loose for play value lol). It’s taken years. I’ve never got round to finishing the attic though, some of which is still made from foam core from the art shop! It’s set for 1912. It has a servants hall, kitchen, still room, store, and butlers/ housekeepers sitting room and bedroom in the basement. On the ground floor is a cloakroom, hall, dining room and library. The first floor has the music room, boudoir and drawing room. The second floor has 3 main bedrooms. Then above that is the nursemaids bedroom ( round the side, via an access panel), day nursery, night nursery, bathroom, and nanny’s room. That should have been the end, but added another attic, with servants rooms. It’s got wired lights, each section having its own transformer. A big dolls house looks lovely but isn’t practical unless you have a large place to display it. Hope you all get the house of your dreams.

Sorry, worse than useless. My battery only fits one way but doesn’t work, when I turn it around and force it in to the battery space it works but won’t screw in straight. This video needs to show the correct way to put the battery in so people can work out if their unit is faulty or not. In this video the woman’s hand is in the way so this vital bit of info can’t be seen.
