He skipped the electric shaver since it was November when this was filmed, he had to leave some to keep her warm over the winter, a task made far easier with hand shears

No real feeling. The women so clearly love the sheep and what they do.

It is nice that once you get them sitting on their tail and leaning back slightly, 98% of sheep will immediately relax and let you do your job. That feature was likely intentionally breaded into them. Sheep have been domesticated for thousands of years, and over that time, we have kept the best and eaten the rest.

Lovely story and all my favourite animal people. We had a sheep in Australia that hadn’t been shorn for over five years. You wouldn’t believe they could survive all that weight would ya?

This is what happens when people come together, look what can be accomplished? Just think of the good that we can do if we worked together for the common good like this all the time. We would all live in a much better world!! Love this story!

Good job saving Fiona. Good job on the "hair cut". 😊

Unless putting her back in the wild could have taken all warmth wise, the hand shear and leaving length really avoided tearing the skin based on weight of cut wool, or nicking. Gets much much colder here and people shear in November no issue. If they took all and weighed fleece to make it seem more impressive that would be for story, they chose animal. Glad to see pampering.

When it comes to shearing rams, I always think of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy when he asked Brian "Would you please shave my coin purse?" for his bits. 😂👛

Daily yoga, regular massage, a personal trainer....the dynamic physical demands of the skills for the Sheep Game deserve the complimentary knowledge and of a wellness support team. Hot tub! Victor is one big fluff ball! Cammy makes that shearing look easy. And the ram appeared content with the attention. So fun to watch!

I don’t know who has shamed you so about your accent, but I fine it pleasant to hear and not at all difficult to understand. I love watching you shearing. It’s amazing how you handle such large animals so gently and expertly. ❤

Our previous Member of Parliament in Marlborough New Zealand, Colin King used to be a champion shearer, and he used to do demo hand shearing at the annual A&P (Ag & Pasture) shows. I've watched him several times, and the bugger always left the poor sheep bleeding.
