Do not use cough suppressants for a productive cough. (A cough with phlegm.) Use an expectorant to help thin the phlegm so you can cough it up easily. Cough suppressants are for DRY coughs ONLY.

I was told this once. Had a horrible sinus infection with a fever for 8 days turned bronchitis. Couldnt get an antibiotic from my doctor. Ended up in ER almost having to have an emergency surgery to remove all my filled sinuses. Finally after 5th visit to another doctor did I get antibiotic and steroid. Cleared it up thankfully. Was told if it didnt work, i was having surgery!!!!! Thats when i realized how awful several doctors were to me!

But with blood tests you can check if it most likely from a virus or bacteria. I know antibiotics are an issue, but you can't make blank statements like that, while just letting people suffer and let their bronquitis turn into pneumonia and die, like so many cases we often see

Ive ended up in ER four times from a SEVERE allergic reaction. Every system in my body was affected. For sure not taking this vaxx and very cautious on any meds. Even with testing, no food allergy found. Meds yes!! Anaphylaxis is a rough, rough road. Do not take it lightly. It will get to a point the Epi will not reverse the allergy. I carry 3 Epis at all times.

Dr. Dafford - I’ve been trying to get an appointment to see you for about 5 months now but haven’t gotten a call back. I know how busy things are so I understand. I truly think you can help me as do those I know who’ve previously worked with you. I am post laminectomy and spinal fusion of C2 to T1 - I’ll stop there as I’m shocked I’m even publicly posting something … hoping and praying maybe you’ll see this 🤞🙏🤞

I just wanted to add I had also had a tick and I learned that if pull the tick and leave the head in the skin then that can lead to infectio and Lime disease in long term, therefore the safe way that I have learned is to apply bit of greace such as oil for the tick to stop breathing in the skin and slowly move with finger around the tick's body in anticlockwise 🕐 direction to be able to take all body out safely causing no risk of illness.

The doc listened to my back and heard squeaks from my lungs when breathing. He instantly said bronchitis. I`ve had this problem for the past few years but usually it will manifest itself during the summer season i suspect due to the pollen in the air. Anyway my coughing lasts for many weeks and the doc gave me some antibiotics for 7 days and it helps a lot. The mucus now has a metallic taste to it after starting taking the meds and the coughing is now much less of a problem. Mucus buildup is also much less now only after three days in.

This is not what Eugene has been having. He had open heart surgery in December. I don't remember when he started at Encore rehab, but they stopped his appointments. The woman 'in charge' did not know what shock is so I guess she is not a nurse. His blood pressure has been dropping during exercise, possibly because he eats right before a session. He has now seen a physician 3 times at their demands. His BP meds have been reduced or eliminated by the physicians. When I called them after his doctor's visit to get an appointment, the girl decided to chew me out. I didn't get an appointment. Now I am looking to youtube for examples of the exercises he should have been getting.

Bronchitis can be scary we all need oxygen, laboured breathing is aways highly unpleasant. For relief breath in the steam of a few drops eucalyptus oil, Manuka honey, lemon peel, ginger, oregano with a teaspoon of NAC in hot water. Yes it is deep in one’s lunges, this helps believe me it’s pretty much instant relief.

yeah,.... I had a Dr tell me the same thing and ended up almost losing my life. Instead of following my asthma plan that I have had for 30yrs they thought its was a good idea to not give me antibiotics it became worse I was sick and lungs tried to shut down.. That is the most scariest idea not to use antibiotics with bronchitis. (Asthmatics we're told to seek antibiotics when sick to keep it from settling in lungs that turn into bronchitis that could turn to into something worse) This new idea scares patients like me if the person that is supposed to help but refuses it makes someone desperate and discouraged where we end up looking for other ways to get better because they feel their Dr let them down. Now I am looking for something natural incase this road block happens again. Scary when dr try to improve something that worked all their life.. If that dr listened to me when I went in from the start it could have avoided that dang tube down my throat and me scaring my family for 2weeks. I am lucky to be alive but could have been avoided if treated when I felt it coming on... This idea you say is scary scary scary.

Doctors have been taught to fear over-prescribing antibiotics due to antibiotic resistance. This is a real issue and should not be taken lightly. However, I think bacteria cause (or contribute to) more cases of bronchitis that we are led to believe. In my personal experiences with bronchitis, antibiotics have dramatically alleviated my symptoms within hours.

Dam hopefully you feel better. I was reading your comment 3 days ago feeling just like you but trust me. Hydrate. And do not use bottled water. It dries your mouth when u trying to breathe out your mouth. Use faucet water, I never been a faucet water guy but the last 3 days , 5 cups of tap water a day later.. I’m waking up hella normal! No more yellow/green sputum .. every chance i flush it out I say “CLEARRRRR!” As if I’m in a military war 😂😂😂 sometimes sickness like this comes from God. Message taught me how good life really is when you’re blessed to be normal. I be feeling high and I haven’t smoked a join in 2 weeks I can now tho I jus wanna wait few more days with this tap water. Bottle waters is NOT the wave. Why u think it has a PsssT! To it when you open a new one? Tap water don’t do that. Trust me I am God. I wanna see you doing better! Clear your bronchitis tubes out like a mad man. You will feel so much better in just days if u had it for a week don’t worry you’re on your way, more than 2 weeks, then just drink more water and sleep more. That’s it…. oh and pray!🙏🏽 that’s all I did. I keep my mask on every time I go out been that way since Covid so it’s impossible for me to catch something like that but I’m feeling 94% good. The 6%comes from waking up in the morning to clear my tubes which isn’t super thick green/yellow mucus anymore. It’s thin and clear now. And I sound less clogged up in my nose when I talk.

Just remember the FDA recently came out and said phenylephrine is completely non effective as a decongestant. Don’t waste your time with using phenylephrine, go for guaifenesin and pseudoephedrine. When I’m too stuffed up to breath I’ll use zicam nasal spray with oxymetazoline and that is a life saver! Also a cough drop with benzocaine (cepacol) is helpful to provide some pain relief for your throat. Please take care! Good luck people!
