Every person who has ever used a tractor has made sure the tires always go in the same spot lmao.

The title says “the regenerative way” but I didn’t hear anything about regenerating the soil. Just that they do a cover crop. Am I missing something here? I thought regenerative agriculture involved keeping the soil covered and having a living root as long as possible. Incorporating livestock. Sure context can change some of those but this didn’t seem like a regenerative way to grow sunflowers. More of a no-till way to grow sunflowers. Good information on growing sunflowers though. That leaf stripper is solid.

So true about the birds! I had a lot of the sunflowers I planted picked out of the ground by them. Plenty survived and sprouted though, so I'm excited to see how they grow :)

This is our 15th year farming. I got started young when I was 23. I’m making these videos to help you all not make the same mistakes I did and get a little insight into our methods 😊 Farm on!!

Nice video. Music is annoying when trying to listen to you talk though.

Great video, super helpful. I wish the audio was clear without music though. I'm neurodivergent and the music is making it nearly impossible for me to watch.

This is very helpful! Thank you. I became a flower farmer last year because as a new farmers market manager, my booth was so empty. People loved my bouquets! The timing of this video is perfect for me. I'm so grateful. Do you mind mentioning your spacing in between direct-sown sunflowers, and time between succession sowings? Sorry if I missed it!

Love the long form videos! - Mike, Stone Farm Arundel, Maine

Thanks Mike! Appreciate the feedback. Trying to share as much of our knowledge as possible to help other growers get down the road. Our system certainly isn’t perfect but with these techniques you can rifle out a lot of sunflower crops in a season without boat loads of effort and achieve really amazing crop. Happy farming ✌️
