Spending some much needed time with my babies and stacking my coin.....move soon come though....all is well....I'm really protecting my mentals right now. A move can really take a lot of us! You got a lot done! 🪴🪴🪴 If you still have the Aglaonema cuttings…. They root for me in spaghnum moss and in pon (pon would be a low maintenance option)… of course after taking the rot off 🌱🌱 It can take forever for them to root though, and theres always a chance of rot 😅 After moving Id put them in the natural light of the room for a day or 2 and then turn on the growlights growlights again. Id start fertilising again for the ones that are actively growing (a plant in shock or dormancy doesnt like fertiliser anyway)

I tried, but they died. I have never been successful with propagating them, and my heart wasn't in it. I'll do it again when I get settled. Thanks for the tips.

@ I have never propagated them… I am happy if they grow haha. But had to reroot some of my Aglaonema, they are definitely not the easiest. Considering the moving and all it makes so much sense that your heart wasn’t in it! And you still tried, thats all that can be done right? 😊 Wishing you lots of new growth in your new (temp) space 🪴🪴

Cococoir and cocochips/cocohusk sometimes need to be buffered with calcium/magnesium (in order to let the plants have access to all nutrients in your fertilizer), there are a lot of videos on when and how to do it out there… Sometimes it also still has to be washed due to the salts. (Sometimes it comes prewashed) Cococoir and cocohusk can sometimes be bought pre buffered but then it explicitely says so on the package 😊

This is an older vid of yours, so I am not sure if you still need to downsize everything…. But if you do, take it slow… both with plants and with other items (though plants are sometimes a bit easier to replace). The first time… just go through everything and the things you don’t care about/aren’t useful to you anymore, just get rid of those… Then after a while do it again… and again until you are at a point where you think you have little enough Things to let go of will pop up in the process I promise! My husband and I do a round of it every half year or every year or so, slowly, but every time some things end up leaving our house without regrets

@Wubblyt Thanks for the great advice. Downsizing is a much bigger emotional drain than I expected, but there is such freedom in getting rid of “stuff”. Especially if it’s sentimental. I’m gonna keep repeating the process even though I’m supposed to be “done”….big air quotes🤣🤣. Happy Planting🌿🌵

@ It is huge, but the relief is so worth it! I am by no means a minimalist and also have no aspirations to be one… but clearing out and organizing, thinking about “do I still need/want this”… the results are very much worth the effort

I've heard that putting cinnamon on the the cut ends of plants prevent rot. i haven't tried it, but it might help the agleonema. I can only grow mine as water plants

That’s a great tip! I’ve heard that too. It's a fungicide. I think this one is a gonner though. I just don't have the capacity to watch it closely. She's very sad 🥴

Hey, Girl, Heyyy. Aw Lawd, you up in there neglecting the plants. I'm gon' call the people! Question (while still watching) - what about automatic watering of some sort? Like those things that you fill with water and the plants drink when they need it. There also used to be a gel called "dri-water," but I'm not sute if it's still around. I used to use it on my balcony plants in LA when I left town for a while. Congrats on the new place!! Gotta catch up & see where you are now.

Hey Nicole 🙋🏽♀️ I miss that smile. I've actually got an irrigation system, but I haven't set it up in the new spot yet. The downsize/move/home sale got me all chewed up and I'm working really hard to get my mojo back. You don't know how tired you are until you take a break. I'm actually living on my daughter's couch (metaphorically) until it's time to hit them international streets. Definitely let's catch up. #weout2025

I STRUGGLE with taking a real break. I take the break then feel guilty and end up not really enjoying it. I'm working on that though. I took a nice break this week and tried to rest as much as possible...thanks so much for the reminder. We deserve rest and ease!!!

Thank you so much Dee for the update. I'm literally cheesing. I knew they would be well taken care of. Maybe propagate the heuschkeliana. She took a hit right before she went to you remember. Ahhhh Cebu....🤞🏽 I'll keep her in my planty prayers. She does propagate nicely, but I struggled with keeping her watered enough and I was probably giving her more light that she would like. No pressure Sis if they don't make it. These are perfect to experiment with and see what works in your environment. Keep me updated Luv and thank you again for taking in my (now your) plant babies🪴

I totally agree. The plants live in the brightest room in the house, so I'm drawn to that area. I've got to find an easy way to get them watered that's easy for me but not in the way of my housemates. I'm happy I chose these plants to come with.

I truly understand as far as downsizing, I moved from my 2 story house 🏡 after 24 yrs,1/2 a home of furniture & leaving beautiful yard plants 🌱 & a lot of my indoor plants. It’s been 5 yrs now & I’ve adjusted

It's the weirdest thing downsizing is....I'm not a hoarder, but there was some energy connected to having those things. I like feeling free from stuff. I notice it when I'm on vacay and I have a limited wardrobe, I'm free to not worry about having the right fit...I just go about and enjoy being present. It's liberating.

Yes, it did. One day I was thinking I should and the next day it was so. Ain't that how the universe works though. I set that intention and things fell right into place and I didn't question it, I let it ride. It felt good to be out before the election.

Hey Sis...Yep.....I only grow one in a jar and that's because I have the mother plant in dirt. I might transition that one from the jar to soil, but I feel like it's much easier to give away if all you have to do is keep water in the container🤷🏽♀️. Plants don't grow as large for me when grown exclusively in water.
