I saved your video to come back to ask a question later because your set up is really nice. Its been a year and I decided to get some echo studios I currently have 4 studios and 1 echo sub but plain to purchase another echo sub. Question how did you pair the 8 studios with 2 echo subs. Or are they just set up to play music everywhere. If so I understand that can be done but didn't think you could also add a additional echo sub. Can you explain to me how you did this. I have a guess but I want to know from you directly because you achieve it.

hi sorry for the late reply well all you do is pair each sub to one echo studio that way you have 2 echo studios paired to 2 echo subs then just create a multi room music group in my case I call it the studio group and that is all just say Alexa play music on the studio group as long as there isn't more than 10 devices which is the max for multi room music they should work just fine

Not sure if you compare 2 items that are meant for the same audience. Besides, the Studio is probably more "colored", "tuned" to how we would love to hear the music(ality). You compare 4 devices (and probably in stereo) with one (mono) Devialet, while I heard that there is a huge difference when listening to 2 Devialet speakers in a stereo setup (and a 3dB win too). Devialet speakers are made to sound flat (as how the music was produced) and not in a way we would love the sound of the (spiced up) speakers themselves. I can understand you love the Studios way more, but both speakers were made with a different approach and for a different audience.

We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning kzbin.infoUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

For the price Devialet looks really a sham, poor definition and not more emotion. Echo has no other claim than to play music and do it well. Devialet is not a real problem, but their communication and price model is the real problem for the result...

Almost after 2 years, Echo Studio with the Mediatek chipset is still my favorite device. Does really well with its audio quality.

I got the 103db and 108db. I can speak from personal experience that they are interesting speakers, extremely loud and powerful for their size, but in my opinion grossly overpriced for what they are and lacking on the mids and highs. I don't think I can recommend them to anybody. If they put much effort into the meds and highs as they did with space and style of it, then I think this would be a great splurge item. How it is now, I just think aside from uniqueness and output for its size, there are way better options for less money.

Couldn’t disagree with you more… As a lifelong Audio junkie with ~100K in many systems around the house, I have a pair of golds as my main now and couldn’t be happier. It’s like the starship Enterprise dropped by and left a pair of speakers from the future. They are so good and so small, just amazed and happy I lived long enough to see these!

@@hapexamendar1093 I'm not saying they're bad. They do have an insane level of output, especially considering their small size. They also look cool AF. However, in my opinion, they come off a bit flat in the mid range and high range. It's not surprising because the mid range is only coming out of a tiny ring around the tweeter. I have a Bowers & Wilkins formation setup that was half the cost and although not as loud and not as cool looking, has a much richer and full body sound. The 108db wins hands down on cool Factor and loudness but I was personally disappointed by the flat mids/highs. For almost $8k/pair, it should have even sound reproduction
