@starsandstripesrc84753 күн бұрын
What happened is the first time I plugged it in, I moved the plane so the reflex didn't initiate, I don't use the modes for it just the gyro. As to 4s, the esc and motor isn't enough to handle 4s, I suppose you could always change the esc and motor for 4s, but it's generally for the beginner as a light trainer

No sir, I don't use as3x, or fms's reflex v3, I have a couple of fms's planes that have their reflex in them, and have kept them in them for the gyro, but most of their planes don't come with the reflex anymore. Nice flight and landing. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 So, I noticed that after landing, you attempted to use reverse thrust to stop your jet, but reverse thrust wasn't engaged yet when you went to full throttle. As a result, your plane accelerated instead of slowing down. Fortunately, you cut the throttle just in time. Here, follow my video to set full reverse thrust on a designated switch. That way, you won't ever experience that scary and often disastrous situation when trying to use reverse thrust.😮 I've seen many people destroy their beautiful planes after pulling off a perfect landing just because they thought they had reverse thrust engaged when they went full throttle and reversing wasn't engaged yet. My method eliminates the need to go full throttle to achieve full reverse thrust... I hope that this helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJ3NYWSHfcuqgtEsi=DA7YaopgVoD9dlvN Have a great rest of your day 😁 Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 😁👍🏾👍🏾🌵🌵🇵🇷 Like#12

Congratulations on such a great maiden flight! 😁👍🏾 Why didn't you use the full flaps to slow your plane down for landing? There's nothing wrong with using flaps, my friend. Didn't you see that you ran out of runway in a few seconds upon landing because your plane was coming in much too fast?... The Avanti is a beautiful, rock-solid, stable flyer, and with flaps, you'll love the way it slows down. My friend Oscar just had his maiden flight last Sunday on a really windy day. He was using a 6S 5200mAh battery and set his timer to 3 minutes. Upon landing, we checked the battery and he still had 31% remaining. That means that yours with that 6000mAh battery can easily give you a solid 4 minutes of flight time with enough power for a go-around. Let me share my friend's maiden flight with you and your viewers. I hope that you like it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn7KdKOrnLZsjNUsi=3mySYSHnod4F5eKZ Have a great day. 👍🏾😁 Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 😁👍🏾🌵🌵🇵🇷 Like # 4...

I really like my Beaver. I have also the floats, and they work great. I'm not surprised you didn't bend or break the screws holding the wheels. You are flying on a wide open airfield with a hard surface. I fly on a tighter, smaller grass airfield. The tire screws got bent after about 5 flights and they broke after about 10 flights. The hard plastic tires are not working well, they transfer any impact direct to the screws holding the tires, and screws get bent where the thread starts on the shaft. It's best to replace the tires with the Dubro rubber tires. I like the 5.5" best, they absorb a lot, as small Dubos as the 4.0" will work. I also had the rudder servo failing. The tailwheel is transfering all the torque direct into the servo and the plastic gears get caries (tooth loss). In your video your Beaver broke out to the left twice, once at the start and once at the landing. The lateral load on the tailwheel got direct transferred into the servo gear. There is no damper or spring between the tailwheel and the servo. As you mention in your review in the FMS website there's room for improvement. I'm not certain a servo with metal gear is the right thing. If the servo holds, then something else is getting damaged. I usually have springs between the rudder and the tailwheel to avoid damage on the rudder and the servo incase the tailwheel is experiencing high lateral loads. What makes things worse is the servo frame the tail servo is built in. It's easiest to replace the broken servo with an identical one from FMS, but WHERE to get the servo other than from the parts section in the FMS website. It's an analog servo with plastic gear, not the newest design, and I wonder how long FMS will still carry this servo. At the moment it's OUT OF STOCK, and no clue when it will be available again. Since there are no dimensions listed nor is there any alternative to the analog 17 gram servo mentioned in FMS's website I'm hope somebody here on youtube has done the research and can give an advice what replacement servo to use incase the rudder servo got damaged.
@starsandstripesrc8475Ай бұрын
Thanks for all the info and advice as to this model. And I agree. I haven't had any issues with the wheel screws yet. I normally fly at a park that has paved and grass, and fly this off grass. the maiden flight was at an alternate field due to our normal spot being closed that day. As to the 17 gram rudder servo, any 17 gram analog plastic gear servo that's in stock should work, I believe they are all the same size detention.

Hi, have just found your site, and watced your videos of three planes that i fly regularly.These are the fms 80mm rafale, the fms 70mm yak 130 and the fms 70mm 15th anniversary viper. Please do not take this as a criticism, but you are landing really fast. I fly off grass, and would rip out the landing gear at those speeds. I see you have a long runway and can get away with it, but with flaps (not including the rafale which only uses the flaps for braking on ground), these jets will really land much slower without stalling. Hope you dont mind me commenting. Might just be personal taste. Really good videos by the way. Andy in uk.
@starsandstripesrc84752 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, yes it's a personal preference as far as not using flaps, more so if the jet has reverse thrust, but I do use flaps sometimes. Just not all the time. Hello UK!!!! Thanks for checking out my channel and for watching!
@andycraig86102 ай бұрын
Had one of these for about a year, used 4000mah battery for first 10 flights but it was too heavy. Changed to 3300 and it was much better. Lost orientation about a montn ago and totalled it (my fault completely). Proof of the pudding is that i ordered a replacement. This however is not the easiest 70mm jet to fly. Fms 70mm viper is an easier entry jet. If you really want a trainer jet, get 80mm freewing avanti. Andy in uk.
@starsandstripesrc84752 ай бұрын
I will agree this is not a beginner jet by any means, I have many of FMS 's jets, the J-11, 70mm Viper, both F86's. 70mm F-16C, 80mm BAE, 80mm Futura, which is a very good platform, I also have the new 64mm F-16, and the 64mm Futura. I don't believe any of these would be considered a 1st jet, with the exception of the 64mm Futura, in my opinion. At any rate, they are all very nice flying edf's, thanks for watching!!!
