Audio issues abound! Sai was louder compared to me so it was not a pleasant listening experience. However audio balancing also screwed it a bit, hence why I cut out a bit, especially during the second half. Still, I hope people enjoy the video regardless and I think we've fixed the issue by the next video.

How about Yahtzee Crowshaw's "Dev Diary" but for DnD campaign creation? Talk about tools, tropes, mechanics, etc, as you create a single one-shot? edit: also love the idea of reviewing larps in media (and even DnD in media). There's great examples of "Poker in Media" and "Stock Market in Media" type stuff.
@Freebiewitz_Larp16 күн бұрын
Less one shots and more an ongoing "dev diary" in our case. That said, I do like the idea of doing holiday special one shots.

So a few things that stick out. I like the DM prep work videos but it might work better once you get more followers. What I was thinking you could do it as a live stream and ask the audience questions on what to put in said adventure. I'm always up for more larp videos as that is what drew me to your channel. I like the movie review idea and you could also do movies that influenced larp like Blood of Heroes and how that made Jugger. I do agree that it would be a short series. That being said you should ultimately do what interest you the most otherwise you'll get burned out real quick.

Too late on the DM prep thing, already made episode 1. But yeah, audience feedback sounds like a good idea.

Should do one comparing this to Balatro (my new addiction)
@Freebiewitz_Larp23 күн бұрын
I'll be honest, as much as I enjoy card games, the rules of poker or anything similar just don't click with my brain ever. Like, I understand an Ace is better then a 10 but that's basically the extent of what I know. Maybe one day I'll try Balatro but not today.

Firstly, I love your style, It reminds me of that guy who made animations for dota2. I know your videos are going to blow up as soon as larping hits the mainstream, the way dungeons and dragons did. I just don't know how soon that will be or what the catalyst for such a thing are.
@Freebiewitz_LarpАй бұрын
Here's hoping I'll be the cause for the mainstream explosion (unlikely but it's nice to dream). Either way, I appreciate the comment and glad you enjoy my stuff.

@Freebiewitz_Larp An episode about larp in shows and movies would broaden your reach to those outside of the r p g space. Knights of badassdom and craig of the creek are two good depictions of larp id suggest.

Freebiewitz this entire series have been incredible help and have made me laugh harder then I’d like to admit and I’m so disappointed you don’t have Millions of views on these videos I have been trying to larp a knight but it’s so expensive, so I’m trying to cut cost and choosing between buying chain mail and just have plate helmet with plate gloves because the weapons are shield I want are actually just ridiculous.

Should try making your own foam weapons, super cheap
@Freebiewitz_LarpАй бұрын
I've made an episode about equipment in season 2 but I don't think I mentioned crafting weapons in it specifically. I probably wouldn't either to be honest because every Larp has a different set of rules of what is considered safe or not when it comes to weapons. It's so strict that in some cases, a blanket thumbs up to a specific manufacturer will still come with a caveat when it comes to specific models.

The way some larps get around this is by different color heads similar to the colors of spell balls. Some larps like Alliance you don't actually use a bow. You have a bow shape stick and then you throw seed packets at people to represent your arrows. So basically a reflavored spell caster.
@Freebiewitz_Larp2 ай бұрын
Feels like it defeats the whole purpose of "Bow range" to be honest. And having a normal bow wouldn't stop you from shooting at closer ranges either.

Gotta admit the settlement building is what kept me hooked on this game when it first came out. There was something so satisfying about looting all the junk I could possibly find and using it to build my own post apocalyptic settlements all over the map. The Castle is by far my favourite place to build, using concrete foundations to patch the holes in the walls instead of using a mod is so much more immersing and rewarding once you get it perfectly aligned. Terrible story, great game

I've always liked the idea of having a base of operations that you can come back to in an open world game, bonus points if there's a mechanical benifit to doing so. Even more bonus points if you can invest in and customize it too. In otherwords, Fallout 4 just ticks sooo many boxes for me.

Wtf? This video has 260 views, 4 comments, and 11 likes, but you have 11.4 k subs, and uploaded this 2 days ago, the absolute oddest assortment of ratios I’ve seen on a video
@Freebiewitz_Larp7 ай бұрын
Yeah it's odd. Honestly most of those subs were from a video that was made as an afterthought, while videos that I worked hours on barely got any.
