In place of water to a 40% CC12, i propose add 1/3 Alberta Premium 66% cask strength to bring it to 48.7% abv ! ! CHeers ! ( in fact, i do this to ALL my 40% Canuck ryes...)

If you want Blanton’s at at reasonable price vs BSW let me know I know someone that sells it at a fair price.

I find this whisky to be less bland than this guy did and I also think that there's a significant change to the flavour profile after adding a few drops of water, more so than other whisky's at this price point.

An absolute fantastic whisky. Loads of tinned fruits on shortbread. For me I am not sure if it beats the classic 12 when account for cost though. Great review, cheers.

Thanks for this review. I got this for Mother's Day and haven't tried it yet as I'm not finished with the Red Breast 12 and don't want to have two bottles open. Looking forward to it.

It is super smooth. It’s too balanced. It’s just enough of each note but nothing super crazy in either category. It’s great for the price!

I also enjoy this scotch. Lots of flavor and $40 in S Carolina. Seems like a great value. I get licorice notes, but I may unique since nobody else mentions it.

It tasted a LOT like Glenlivet Nadurra - another cask strength speysider. Batch 4 came to Canada, batch 3 to Australia, and 1-2 to US-UK . . . I use this to mix with another malt and bring UP the abv of those meanial 40% Scotches. . .

Do you know what batch # this was?

Great review. Glenlivet 12 was my entry into scotch many years ago and remains one of my top 3. I notice more fruit and a hint of spice but very little oak. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Look forward to more of your reviews. Cheers
