Ok so I hear that spacers cause issues. I bought my 2014 Tacoma lifted with at least an offset just a tiny bit more wide than this one. No issues in the last 19 months of owning it.

A simple google search yields this, “wheel spacers can cause wheel bearings to wear out prematurely. Wheel spacers increase the leverage on wheel bearings, which can cause them to wear faster. The larger the spacer, the greater the leverage. This can also increase rolling resistance and power loss.”

I would never put spacers on my vehicle. If I wanted the offset, I would just buy a set of aftermarket wheels that were hub centric. I've seen too many spacers blow apart under load, and the wheel just tare up the fender or body .

WRONG answer to wheel offset being off. CORRECT answer is to buy wheels with the right offset. I see a wheel bearings and axles install video in your near future. 😅😅😅

Just put some Cali Raised Cat Shields on my 4Runner. Absolutely essential these days. Now I can leave my 4Runner parked and have some peace of mind. Sure, if someone really wants to steal your cats, this isn’t going to stop them, but it definitely will take them longer than just a quit cut and run.

Aside from looking better and better handling, if your brake calipers are too big for the offset of a wheel, you can get spacers instead of downgrading your calipers. Choose your poison.

@Timetrends-n5t having wheels that stick too far out from the fenders, sure. But having spacers to let the wheels look more flush with the side of the fenders, it looks good. But yes, subjective.
