check dir mal "Kelly at midnight" von Wynton Kelly aus. das ist ein grossartiges Album - sonst Milestones von Miles Davis ist auch ein Klassiker 👍

Yo!!! I've been studying this solo for months from the Joerg Eckel book, and the sticking for the "2nd phrase" is slightly different than yours. He wrote it as RLRLRRLRLLR, not RLRLRRLRRLR. After I tried yours out, it was so much easier to play! Thank you so much! I dont know which one Philly Joe Jones actually played, but your sticking helped me out a lot, so thank you for this video🙏🙏🙏 also your playing is great, you actually sound like the recording!

Yeah it's always hard to tell what sticking it actually was - this one made the most sense to me as I'm hearing two accents at the end of the phrase, but I guess in the end there are multiple ways to make it work! all the best, Peter
