it gives you the characteristic vibration frequencies of a structure, here the beam. If this beam is then seeing an external frequency that matches one of its own modal frequencies, then it may break or be plastically deformed. I don't know if it's clear or scientifically accurate, but that's the way I see it.

Thank you for this informative video. I have a doubt that if I use step-1 as a general static step and step-2 as a linear perturbation step for this case can we use the same restart procedure?

Thank you for the video! When I restart from end of step and restart from the increment which is the last increment of step, the result is different. Do you know why?

Is it possible to use remesh in an implicit Step?

This simulation is completely wrong. 1. The continuum shell element type is not updated. 2. The ply stacking orientation is not correct.

I appreciate your effort and thank you very much as I learned something new but I have an objection. and I am very sorry if my objection is wrong but anyway I am saying that the FORTRAN code you have shown is not SIGINI subroutine but UEXTERNALDB subroutine. please clarify this that will be very helpful of you.

Didn't know I had to add that one line "*Initial Condition, type=stress, user" to the input file. I was wondering why my FORTRAN code doesn't to a thing. Thank you so much!
@vaidehicrs98984 жыл бұрын
Your view is saying cohesive contact. But you actually used cohesive element. I was expecting you would show how to define cohesive contact behavior in static general step using probably general contact.

You didn't re-mesh the element after the assignment of the element "Continuum Shell", i think you consider for the analysis the previous 3D stress element

In new version, before choosing the reference point, it'll give you an option to choose between a mesh or a geometry, just keep in mind to choose mesh and then reference point! Very helpful video. Thanks.
