Some games on Switch 2 will most likely get updates for it unless the games is only new for Switch 2. I know there will be games only Switch 2 for AAA titles.

I would be in paradise if the Switch 2 got a Star Fox title (that's not just a recreation in a different name), even a remake of a preexisting title would be great imo

Eight years on since your reaction to the 2017 Breath of the Wild trailer and here we are, at the dawn of a new Nintendo Switch 2 generation; we have come a long long way haven't we? This is going to be a day one buy for me which would be the first time ever; I held off getting other Switch variants in the past to put towards this, but it's mainly because my OG Switch is getting a bit tired now having had and used it since April 2017! The new kickstand is going to a real boon and shouldn't break off as easily as the original one does! It's a lot more durable looking and has so much more range of motion. I wonder how strong the connection is for the Joy-Cons being attached magnetically instead of by rails; maybe they're using isolated neodymium magnets which have ultra high magnetic force despite being tiny. I mention this because I noticed the Joy-Cons have really big release buttons compared to the original Joy-Cons. A little annoying it's another 2 and a half months till the Direct but looking forward to hearing more stuff get revealed and what more surprises and tricks this will bring forward.

I'm happy to return to Nintendo gaming. I stopped playing Nintendo games after the DS Lite and Wii to focus on just Ps3 and Ps4. Super excited for Switch 2. I have so many games to play! So many I missed.

When that April direct comes, we will (Most likely) get a trailer for a new Zelda game, then we can watch you lose your s#$@ again.

It's interesting you bring up Switch 2 exclusive games and were hesitant about that. I had a conversation with a colleague one day after the drop and I was saying, a hypothetical Windwaker and Twilight Princess port could still come to the SWITCH and due to backwards compatibility be able to play on Switch 2 as well. Heck... I just though of this... Nintendo could make some Switch future games run better with additional tech based features on Switch 2.

Still a lot of questions about Switch 2 but I'm excited! And looking forward to April 2nd! Hope for a new reaction by our gaming queen ⭐️⭐️

Im excited and definitely buying it at launch nwith Mario kart 9 im so happy Nintendo has made it backwards compatibility with the switch library i have such a collection that i can bring over to the switch 2. I really hope Metroid prime 4 beyond is at launch, Luigi's mansion 4 or even Splatoon 4! 🙏♥️ The switch games im thinking won't be compatible on switch 2 is likely to be labo or ringfit games I'd imagine.

My reaction: "Ah, so a bigger Switch.....is that Mario Kart 8? Ah, I guess it's a new one"....thoroughly underwhelmed at this point, but then they haven't given much information here. If that Mario Kart footage is mean to represent the final look of that game/will be ready for launch, that seems pretty disappointing - I thought it was Mk8 at first glance. I really hope this isn't an indication of the upgrade in power over the Switch, because if it is, I don't know how the Switch 2 is going to last at least 5 years. I can't believe there are people already saying they're going to buy it day one, when we have little/no official information on system features, games etc. - people just love buying every new bit of tech, particularly Nintendo tech that comes out to feel part of the zeitgeist. I'm also curious what the backward compatibility will entail, will it be a Wii-style, just run the games "as is" with lower clocks to simulate the Switch, or will there be performance/resolution patches or a universal profile for all Switch games - being able to run BotW/ToTK at a clean resolution and stable/smooth framerate (outside of emulation of course) would be a big selling point in my book, and there are a LOT of Switch games with noticeable performance issues, stutters etc. that could benefit from the extra power. If they try to sell us "upgrade DLC" they can F* right off, but this is Nintendo, so it seems likely.

I'm really glad they didn't go crazy and made the new system just a better Switch. I would have a much harder time buying this, if we missed the whole handheld- TV dynamic. Also, if these new joycons can be used as mice, it will be a game changer for many games, especially some of the popular 3rd party games that aren't as good to play on the Switch, or non existent at the moment

The games that are not supported are like Nintendo LABO, games that require an external device. And it is MK9.

The optical sensor in the joycon though!! They will act like a mouse! Will come in handy for certain games originally designed with PC in mind or maybe a new Mario Paint

If they only could announce F - Zero as launch game. The last time a Nintendo console, launched with F - Zero was in 1990 with the Super Nintendo (best console of all time). Imagine a Switch 2 with launch games like F - Zero, Super Mario Kart 9 and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.
